Has anyone else had an 'Error reading "setup.ini" message when trying to install the AN335SW sftware after installing the VCP Driver Kit.

It seems weird as i'm getting this off 2 different laptops, and i really need to get this sorted before sunday.

Default Dead Gm120?

My Gm120 in the last qualifier had a type of miss fire on throttle in the last minute of a 5 minute run, when I went out for my final the speedo did not beep and only a red led was on, everything worked except the throttle. I tried everything I can think of , but the setup button is not working also. Is it a repairable fault?

Hi alan1467!

Have you check soldering wires to engine?

At last race my friend change engine but made "bad" solder work,
and gm's flash red light

Regards,
m.

Hi!
Last day I set gm's software for my friend without problems
on very small netbook with winxp.

Before instal try turn off if you have antivirus software, check if your
windows is up to date, then download:
- soft for GM: http://www.graupner.de/fileadmin/sof...up_V1.3.6_.zip ,
- usb driver: https://www.silabs.com/Support%20Doc...2K_XP_S2K3.zip
(or go to https://www.silabs.com/products/mcu/...CPDrivers.aspx and click on VCP Driver Kit).

Unzip usb driver, launch exec file, then should start unpacking, and
ask something like that "install usb driver ble ble", just use YES button or NEXT.

When you connect usb device to pc, you should see some info, that
windows found some new device

Install GM software and try use it.

Older software for USB device is a little bad for new software in GM esc.

Try do it again.

Regards!
m.

ps: for older software in ESC like 4.9 use this: http://www.graupner.de/fileadmin/sof...p_01_01_05.zip

GM-Racing:
'high' rpm motors, similar to what the current red/purple one is in 13.5/9.5

#97297 BRUSHLESS PRO 17,5T
#97301 BRUSHLESS PRO 21,5T
#97303 BRUSHLESS PRO 13,5T
#97305 BRUSHLESS PRO 10,5T

Graupner:
high torque motors with an insane amount of power

#6564 BRUSHLESS SPORT 13,5T
#6567 BRUSHLESS SPORT 10,5T
#6568 BRUSHLESS SPORT 17,5T
#6569 BRUSHLESS SPORT 21,5T

both series are all new developed motors with changed internals, changed can, vertically mounted sensor socket and other cool features like a temp protection

if used with the new Genius Generation 2 speedo.

#97168 will be the 120 Gen2

#97164 will be the 90 Gen2

apart from sharing the same case the speedos are all new aswell.
The caps have been removed from the main curcuit board and instead of those you will get the small caps soldered to 2 wires so you can place them whereever you want in your car. (like in mine as you see on the pics)

it will have many new features, functions and even more potential.

again it's not an update it's a new speedo.

Again, very nice job from GM!

Martin, did you know weight of new GM esc?
Is smaller then previous gm120 and lighter or a small cosmetics changes?

Maybe you can put ESC now in better place on chassis because is smaller?

Regards!

same case same weight (approx)

but with the caps now beeing seperated from the speedo you are a lot more flexible where and how to mount the speedo in the car (again take a look at some pics of my car to see how you could mount it)

Hi Martin!

Hm, but pics doesn't say nothing about weight :-P

I think now with new GM 120 is like with LRP tc-spec, (only about dimmension), easy to set it on chassis.

I will stay with my gm95 :-)

Regards!
