Hi All,
I am converting a foam car over to a exotek rubber chassis. if I use the extra hard arms is that going to effect the handling characteristics????

if you are using a foam setup on exotek i think u have to use belt from eu chassis not sure tho email exotek and they will tell you let us know

hard arms should be ok. I am really digging the Exotek chassis. Wish I could find the 1.5mm Spec R / atomic top deck. I am running the Xray option thin plate but would like to try the thinner ones.

Bought a used T2'008 for cheap last week and have been spending time trying to find a cheap place online in the EU to buy spare parts.

Does anyone here know the best and cheapest place to get them?

I'm also looking for a new body for the T2'008, any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

You cant go wrong with Nexus Racing. The place is owned and operated by national caliber racers plus their xray prices are decent.

I just picked up a used 2009 Eu spec car from Kylehitawall. This car is interesting in that it has been modded to run a longer wheel base by ~2mm. The back of the rear arms have been milled 1mm and so has the front of the front a arms at the hinge pin base. The shocks have been shimed as well at the top where they attach to the schock towers to move fwd by 1mm to maintain geometry.

I have not driven the chassis yet, but I suspect this would make the car more "stable". I will try it out this way. The rest of the setup is faily tipycal, 6 deg caster -0.75 block fronts etc. I can also see where this car was running camber links attached to the front bulkhead instead of the graphite tower. There are scratches on the aluminum. I seen this in other cars, specially at the snowbirds, guess it is another mod to create more roll and get more steering and or stability?

Interesting mod anyways... Figure I mention it here. See if there is any feedback

I am planning to switch my 008 Internal Ratio to 1.9 (38T front&back 20T middl)e. However, I am not sure which rear belt that fit in nicely?? (need to find out before I can place an order online)


Which one fit it nicely?
186 MM ?
183 MM ?
189MM ?

Hi,

I'm fairly new to onroad rc and recently purchased a used T2'008 from a guy at our local outdoor asphalt track.

In Denmark there are three series, modified, super stock and stock.

I was planning to race stock which is 17.5 turn, which is also what the car came with when I bought it, but nobody seems to race stock, so I decided to go up a level and race super stock which is 13.5 turn.

I've just installed my new 13.5 motor, but was wondering if I should also change the gearing?

I'm using the stock 84 tooth spur, but what would be an ideal pinion gear for a large, not to technical asphalt track...

Max gear ratio is 3.500

I could just calculate 84/3.5= max pinion size?


But would that necessarily be the best combination?

This is the track, 320 meters long about 1050 feet...
