You mean the ones at the top of the page that were posted even earlier than that? Nice scoop on that one.

I think maybe he meant those first public pictures of the T2'008 nobody else had seen before he posted them, am I right? RedRC is a quality blog, and the only one of the bunch doesn't doesn't seem spammy.

The chassis in these pics are different from the ones at the top of the page.

This thread is supposed to help guys in my situation make a decision...im trying to decide if i should indeed go ahead and wait for the release of the 2008 or if i should just buy the 2007 and upgrade it as i see fit or fall in need...now can anyone help me with some advice on the hardware?? thanks

I'd wait for the 008 to see if it will be offered in a 6 cell version also. I'm not sure if it's confirmed that the 07 will be compatible with all the 08 parts.

I know, KNOW it's a mistake to go on looks alone, but I can't help myself. It looks like a very minor upgrade overall. If I were driving an 007, I'm not sure I'd be getting excited to spend another $500. If I were buying new, I'd have a hard time not getting a used 007 for $200. :-)

That said, I'm sure it's as awesome as ever.

Looks like the parts that are interchangeable with the T2'007 are the arms, steering knuckles, rear uprights, shocks and of course the hardware (screws, shims, etc.).

The chassis, top deck, bulkheads, caster blocks, shock towers and diffs all appear to be new. It even looks like this particular 008 has the new aluminum shocks on it. I'm sure they will have a 6 cell chassis version as well.

The only thing that I can't really see is if the CVD's are different?

It seems like the belts are the same too. Based on these pictures I still think there won't be a special 6 cell foam version of it.
That long one piece topdeck is crazy... the diff pulley seems to be bigger than the 007's hopefully the internal ratio did not change in the wrong direction (any bigger than 1.7 would make gearing a 13.5 brushless next to impossible... ) however they have to think about the mod racers
They made nice square rear right bulkheads which may help with the lipo issue if the topdeck does not sit too low...

It looks like the steering bellcrank is finally in the center of the car .
Also, the stiffening post just behind the bellcrank is interesting, and the bottom of the front bulkheads have a curious reach towards the rear of the car (for additional chassis stiffening, I suppose).
