Needless to say the car performed close to flawlessly (gotta figure out the tic of mid-corner steering I'm lacking) and got the win/overall by 12 pts.
No set-up changes from what I last posted except I went back to 5mm ride height and 1.68" Dbl. pink rear tyres/1.62" Magenta fronts.
Now off this weekend to tackle some carpet again

THANKS JASON FOR AALLLLL THE INPUT

Guys I am thinking about getting the car. I am debating 2 cars. What tires do you guys recommend for the car? I will be running 17.5. Also could you please list the shore ratings for the jaco tires.

for the shore ratings

Tire choice will depend on surface. For carpet i like Lilac and yellow and for asphalt 2x pink front and rear.

Craig Santry for the win at 360 today! He qualified 4th... behind me. And managed to work his way up to 1st. Congrats man. John Brown qual'ed 2nd and finished 2nd with a BMI.
As for me... I worked my way up into 2nd for 2 laps because I had a lucky start... then it traditional fashion for me, hit a flapper and went of the track on the 3rd lap. I finished 4th. Anyway, the car is great, and Team BMI Long Island is starting to get the respect of the Speed merchant guys... mind you the majority owned a DB12R and switched to a Rev5... now we are showing them how it is done and starting to beat them.

Thats great to hear bro. Congrats to all of you guys. The Speed Merchant support there is real strong being that the track owners run for them. Im surprised anyone still runs anything but. Im glad to see that we still have some support there. Thanks for sticking with BMI bro, you wont regret it.

I've heard a lot of good feedback about the HotBodies shock and I want to give it a try on my DB12R. Which ballstuds do I have to get for it (they are metric AFAIK..) and which springs would be the closest matchg to the BMI gold and red springs or can I use the same springs on it? Anybody has experience with this?

yeah steve what a great time this weekend. your car looked real good except for when it left the track my car was so good this weekend after i realized the left clamping hub was just loose enough for the axle to spin inside of it and cause me the spinning problem in every turn dont worry we are gaining back some bmi owners who have been so impressed with our cars that they are gonna start running the car again. its easy for some to get frustrated and jump ship cause thats the easy thing to do. im not much for easy. i like a challenge we have come a long way with this car and like jason said its as good as any other out there and the support of bmi is unmatched is it sunday yet

uga:

you have to use the ball cup from the original shock for the rear. the front of the hotbodies shock fits the ball on the antenna mount but develops play after a while. if you can get an hpi ball stud that is long enough to retain the height and you can space it up then that will work too but the hpi ball studs break real easy the shock accepts the same springs. just make sure your antenna mount is in the forward holes because this shock is longer this way you can still adjust droop and also because of the piston in the shock you should up your weight by 10 i run a copper spring with 55w oil

Like Craig said, but I like to run O-rings on the ball studs to push the ball cups up to take away the play. And the heavy oil is much better. I had 35 in mine and the car didn't rotate well. I switched to 60 and it was so much better.

yeah its heavy for a regular shock. but the hotbodies has a 2 hole piston and feels very soft with 40 weight or below. 55w feels the same as 40 weight on the regular shock
