Almost everything is adjustable without the Hotwire. The Hotwire just allows you to fine tune things a bit more. The only thing I couldn't do on mine without the Hotwire was change the timing.

Before I changed mine I would have said not really...now I'm not so sure. My car does seem faster now with a bit more umph...but overall my lap times didn't change much...could have been my bad driving I'm not sure if you can change timing on the other brands without some sort of interface either. Might be able to but I haven't used em so I don't know.

Got it PW. I will have it done on monday bro.

Messing with the timing does change the power curve of the motor from what i can see. It didnt seem to do a ton when i had to change my gearing a little as i changed the timing. The SpeedPashion uses the little controller box that comes with it to adjust all of your settings such as timing. It is very similar to the keyence brushed speedo in this respect.

Welp...been working on building a customer car today...I give you guys running the GTB credit...that thing is hard to fit anywhere! I finally got a setup I'm happy enough with to leave it there. Novak motor dropped right in pretty smoothly, was really glad for that
