Correct - most top level guys are going to practice in 5 min runs just like it was a race, and as long as you recharge, it doesn't matter what your ESC is doing or not doing to protect the lipo. I just have a real issue as a long time proponent of lipo and brushless use in cars in general with any product claiming to be lipo "safe" when it is clearly not.

The vast majority of participants in the hobby are casual racers or non-racers who absolutely will run a pack all the way down if the ESC says it's safe to do so. Their practice time and playtime don't automatically end in 5min intervals like they do for you, so the ESCs I bring in HAVE to have completely correct and accurate cutoffs for them. I've been part of the lipo/BL solution for years now - I'm not going to start becoming the "problem" now! LOL :-)

Sorry Shawn if that looked like a dig at you . . .I was posting that mostly for Nexus.

So whats this PM button here for???

lol

No problem - not taken as a dig at all, and feel free to dig at me all you want - that's what I'm here for.

Sponsored product order should be on the way momentarily, I just approved the invoice :-)

Regular product has begun it's journey to Tampa :-)

i notice the GT has no fan.........how are the temps running mod?

The GT has a plug in the front of the case for a fan. The one I saw at Schumacher had a fan on it. Not sure if its an option part or if it comes with it. Shawn would know.

SP has some copper posts that you can solder to the motor tabs so you dont have to solder to the motor circuit board. This is a great option parts for SP, LRP, GM, Trinity and Orion motors.

Adrian - thanks for the help here man!

I need to clone myself about 12 times to get all the work, testing, marketing materials, and PR work done for these products!

GT comes with the fan included from what I understand

Mod temps for the GT - unknown at this time, but even pushing the 10.5 to it's limits it was silly cold.

Rotors and performance - real world data not looked at yet, but here's a rundown on what rotors do to motor performance on a general level:

"smaller diameter than stock": raises Kv, softens low end powerband, can limit upper wattage performance
"same diameter but lower magnet strength": same as above

"larger diameter than stock": lowers Kv, harder accelleration, can raise overall watt performance
"same diameter but higher magnet strength": same as above

5 cell testing with 3.5/4.5 motors: I don't have the motors yet, so not yet. I doubt there'll be an issue

As Adrian said - SP has some totally trick copper posts you can use on the motor. I love 'em, Adam Loves 'em - everyone will love 'em. Lots coming in on this first order due in next week.

Chris:
Priority #1 right now is getting all the SP stuff in the system to start accepting orders, and then getting it up on the website with pics asap. Press releases/flyers for our dealers will follow soon after, and I can then post them here for max info overload! LOL
