what's your gearing in your vortex and on your x11? did you go up (3teeth) on your pinion when you used your vortex? thanks

Is it normal that these motors feel like a brushed motor when turned by hand and are really loud? I put one in my X6 for the first time last night and it sounds like the pinion is too tight against the spur even when the mesh is fine. Even with the motor out of the car it's loud. The motor ran fine, but is a bit noisy.

Yea, the internal fan on the rotor makes them kind of noisy.

I ran the Vortex 10.5 last night and it was slower than my Novak 10.5. Am I gearing it wrong? I geared both 4.98 and the Novak was way faster. No timing change on the Vortex.

Running GTB esc. HB Cyclone 92 spur/45 pinion. Am I running the wrong gearing combo?

The Novak was way faster on top end.

The Vortex was much punchier.
