Spool is in great shape, I am getting a stretchingof the pin holes on the CVD's , so I have little slop, but it holding up pretty nice.

When I blew out my Thrust bearing, I took the balls out of a Xray thrust, and built my own bearing with the two thrust washers.

Running 5 cell, I really dont know what it weighs, all I know is it passes tech.

I have been running a 19lb HPI spring in the front as it is a little softer then the stock one. Also running Xray 30wt oil all the way around

About the rear diff thrust...will the Schumacher Mi3 thrust work?

What does your car weigh in at ready to run?

Yep...maybe a little oil in the ballcups...or just holding them down when adjusting...that's what I've been doing...firt time I've had this pblm on a TC...I'll eventually get Shumacher ballgrippas...they're tough and dont come off.

From Turnpike: exit on Atlantic Blvd and head west about 6 miles to University Dr. Make right on University, to the 2nd light, Ramblewood Blvd. Make a left on Ramblewood, and pass the MIddle School on your left hand side and turn left on the street right after the middle school(11 St?) Follow the road and the Park in on your left hand side...

Call me if you need help getting there:

The size is 3mm. Acer seems to have the right ones.

I believe the 2* of arm sweep will help the car turn in alot and little out so by going to 3* I dont think would work really great. But theres no reason to not try it.

the more inboard toe= more agressive cornering, less inboard toe= more stability

I find they come off easy when trying to adjust something, but they have not come off in an impact (yet).

Thanks for the tip...Acer's products are really top notch...just ordered their ceramic nitride 3mm diff ball set...A buddy of mine has a similar ceraimic nitride pack on his and they have lasted almost a year now running mod class motors every week...amazing how they hold up so well.

Keep in mind the HB Cyclone comes w/ 2.5 deg of inboard toe up front- and that car has amazing turn-in...it seems like the S400 is a tougher, more refined, and updated version of the HB Cyclone...so maybe it'll also work well at 2.5 deg upfront...

Hi Guys,

First post for me on the electric side of RCTech.
We are really excited with our new S-400. We are in the process of bringing more products to the market and this car is part of our new line up
I have not being able to get more involved with Electric so far. We are really busy at the moment with more products coming out in the next few months as well as getting ready for really important events, either attending or organizing the logistics on my side, as the IIC in Vegas, 1/8 WC in Argentina, sedan Nationals, many other races , shows, etc.
We have Billy Easton and Jeff Cupps as well as many other Team drivers in different regions that are using the cars and sharing info here. Please don't hesitate to approach them and ask for help.

Regarding parts, etc. here a few news:

We have plenty of orders to fill but enough material is coming also to service new orders. We now that also many shops where waiting for parts to make their car order or reorder. Well, it's time to do it

Springs: New springs are instock and available here is the part# and rate:
160300 Spring white 13 lb
160301 Spring yellow 16 lb
160302 Spring orange 19.5 lb

160304 Spring pink 28 lb
160305 Spring blue 33 lb
160306 Spring purple 39 lb
160307 Spring green 45.5 lb
160308 Spring grey 51.5 lb
160309 Spring black 57 lb

Kits: Kits in stock and more arriving next week

http://www.serpent.com/product/400001/setups/

Carpet version: Beside the rubber version already out, a carpet version is scheduled to be out really soon. A conversion set is going to be available too.

More news to come. Stay tuned on Serpent.com

Have fun at the races and enjoy the S-400
