Hi.

Try looking at www.abec35.com !

They have bearings for the S400. You can buy a kit for the drivetrain in both normal and ceramic - and in both abec3 and 5 as far as I remember...

And the prices are very fair!

rdgs.

Default Top Deck - S400 for high capacity LIPOs

Hi all,

I developed a new top deck (low cost) that fits perfect in serpent s400 for high capacity LIPO Bateries, using high density fiberglass and Carbon fiber. (2 layers of fiberglass and 1 carbon fiber) realy strong anf little weight, 2,5mm.

By the way, i'm using the oil dif in rear and front too, I made a small part (steel) that works perfect in the front, now I have more steering and a lot of run time.

The picture show the work in progress top deck, easier to see without the last carbon fiber layer.

Finaly I can use my 2,5T and the car still running,

Already tested, and works fine, realy perfect.

Regards
Robert

Steven

Sorry about the delay, I'm working in Rio de Janeiro this week, I will be back (São Paulo) only in the weekend, then I will post more details.

For the front oil diff is just a small ring (spacer) very simple (I will post the picture) and the size if necessary.

Another important improvement was a new “rabbet” for the CVD-driveshaft that connects in the oil diff (I will post the picture) because with this part, I don’t need the Blades drive shaft (401087) that with powerful motors “disintegrates”.

I made same improvements in the rear too, very light and useful…I will post too.

I'm running with a 2,5T + LIPO 8000, without these improvements (not cosmetics) ........I have to repair the car frequent…..

Now my runtime is more than 13 minutes without pit stops…..and the car keep intact

Regards
Robert

hey guys, well since there is no Serpent Action or love at the worlds this year, I thought I would post a couple of photos with Vesa's top deck installed.

This is the softest (flexiest) installed.

Decided to take the photos mid rebuild to give you all a good idea on cutting the motor plate should anyone have any dramas with it

So far after testing I have found the new deck design to be much more forgiving, especially turn in and mid corner steering.

Feel free to pick it apart and/or share some of your setup ideas. Im sure you have all been at the track testing and racing away.

Cheers
Paul
