well the TRF Shock quality is great if not the best. but the ball connectors on the TRF shocks are too loose and they have alot of slop in them.
And I am not to fond of the plastic insert method on the top of the shock. It always leaks.
The best shocks I have ever used are the Serpent Shocks with aluminium bodies
If you want killer looks and good quality then TRF is ok.
Any shock with teflon seals, delrin piston and aluminium threaded body would work for competition. The rest is preference IMHO.

I must say that all the shocks on the market are good just depends on what you are looking for.
xray easy to adjust
trf shocks super smooth and farly easy to build
losi type r shocks easy to build and smooth
serpent easyest to build the same
hpi shocks on worlds cyclone about the same as trf
my vote is serpent shocks because its most important that all shocks are the same and they look like the easyest to build that way. not sure how good they are as I'm waiting on the electric car
thats how I see it

I like the new schumacher shocks used on the Mi3. Easy and quick to build. Super smooth. Easy to match and keep equal rebound.

1. The shock body is plated in Nickel-Teflon. Its slicker than any anodized finish and pretty much impossible to wear through. The bores of many nitro engines are nickle plated.
2. The caps are vented so the shock bleed consistantly every time with no effort.

Not a lot of shops stock them since you never need to replace the complete shocks. The only Schu shock parts most places stock are common wear items like o-ring and bushing kits.
