and for my oppinion on the best shocks,2 years ago i would say Tamiya.now that all the latest shocks are based off of the tamya shocks, they all kick ass.it seems that all the companies have stepped up there game with the latest shocks.tamiya figured it out and the rest seem to be refined versions of the tamiya.cant go wrong with any of them anymore.this is a nice problem to have.

Great discussion
Guys this has been very helpfull and a great discussion.
for those who use the shock, does the "hard" version (see link) have threaded body, or is it only the traditional "TRF" set?

The body on the "hard" is hard coated (anodized: note dark grey colour) to resist wear. The other is flourine coated for smoothness/less friction.

Not sure who had it before that.
Xray seems to be the only company who has stuck with it though.
