Spring/dampening system features:

- Fast and simple smooth adjustment of shock-absorbers parameters over a wide range without change of oil and springs.
- An possibility of asymmetric action (compression resistance is 3 times less than resistance of a release on an existing sample)
- practically zero wearing and oil leaking

sounds interesting, but when are we going to see some photo's??

IMHO as soon as chassis designer will be sure about having his suspension pattented

Otherwise the pictures would be already here I guess...

I second that question......after all of that yap about "efficiency, more than Tamiya DA" and all that stuff, it just look to being a weird, space-age looking touring, albeit different, car.

It is definatly and interesting concept, I just don't think it will get any further than that, best of luck with it though, and I am sure if it is as great as you say we will be seeing them soon

It is visible that the suspension is pivot ball type instead of standard now C-hubs.
And the vertical rotary axis of a wheel is displaced inside of a wheel noticeably.
How can it affect controllability and behaviour of car?

What is Tamiya DA?

robk - His name was Dan Lewis. He made a few different cars like that - one with spring steel, another with fiberglass, another with graphite. I think he tried different dampening systems (shocks, tubes) but I'm not sure if made anything like Corally did on their F1 car.... I drove the car - super responsive and light but once we put weight in it and drove it on anything other than a glass smooth track it was a handfull....

looking at the lower a arms, it would appear that the flex in the plates may serve as dampers. Different thicknesses or materials would have varying flexing charactersitics.

The prototype is in the center (white car). On the left the driver finished second with Xray t2'007 and right Tamiya 415 MSX finished third.
Anyone can drive a MSX or T2'007 for it to beat...

Hopefully it wasnt too confusing for the 2 Russians in front, both with white cars, "Russian" to the chequered flag hehe

sounds like the prototype works very well!
