As far as the Ti Antenna I never heard of it.

I just wanted to be sure, I have an extra one hanging around, and the voltag rating is from 6cell to 7cell,

One more Ignoramous Question-will it still work if i only use 5 cell?

thanks

Default Re: question again

Actually I think the Explorer would be an overkill. And yes, the size is also huge compare to micro chassis, not to mention the weight. It will work though but if the weight is too much wouldn't you think it will be an extra load for the motor as well?

The Ti Antenna looks cool with the short length and looks and all, but not advisable for competition. Probably because of the length, they are more prone to interference/glitches. Check it out at HPI web. I use a Deans micro antenna (actually for plane) a bit heavy because of the anchoring nuts but so far no intf/glitch.

Default Would a...

Ko Propo mini fet servo PDS-947 be any good for my micro? Would that servo be considered the best one on the market? Price is not an issue. Would I have trouble using a fet servo with my GM 3r speedo or would I need a higher end speedo for it to work well?

that would be one of the best mini servo. Actually was meant for 1/12 and F1. Not sure abt the GM3R thing, I suppose speedo have much to do with the motor spec instead of servos (?)

The speedo has as much or more to do with the performance of your vehicle, so why don't you get a new one as well? But as GTO2 said, that would be a great servo for your car.

That doesn't mean much from me as I own a Team orion Flash esc... I'm looking at a GM or an LRP. I think I'm gonna get the LRP quantum though.

Default Well, I want...

a speedo with reverse. I already have a GMV12 worlds, but no reverse. I don't want to buy a GMV12 reverse. Too much $$$ I just hope it works ok.

Just be glad you didn't get a Team Orion esc...

I'm using Quantum Reverse...reasonably small and fair specs.
Anyone tried plane's ESC? They are pretty small, cheap and light weight...not sure if it works with gun type controller though

Default Im2lazy...

what was wrong with the Team Orion speedo? It looks like it has a low center of gravity anyway. I had thought about getting one.

There are a few with brake (which are not very strong brakes), but having reverse on an airplane would be the funniest (and stupidest thing) a manufacturer could do for their airplane esc.

Apparently, you haven't been exposed to their horrible tendencies. It is not very smooth. It has durability issues. And it makes the most wonderful ( ) humming noises of any esc I've seen. I've had to solder the switch to the esc so many times...
The thing is waterproof, while handy (I've been known to take advantage of this feature often), but the esc is like a solid sealant thing with wires coming out of it. The wires exit the case rigidly, so if you bent the wire, it would stay bent. My switch wire broke at the base, but you can't take it apart to fix it well. I had to dig out some of the case to be able to find the wire and solder it back on.

Don't get it. Get a good esc.
