It's the body I'm currently using. So am looking for something similar but as was mentioned above the holes aren't pre-marked so might have to get the Yokomo Chevron which I assume does have body post locations.

Mabuchi540, here is how to get them right every time.

Paint up your body as you normally would, and before cutting the wheel holes, sit the body in place on the car.

Position the body how you want it, then shine a torch under the car and you'll see a shadow where the posts touch the body.

Mark the spots, drill, and you then have a perfectly mounted body.

I have a glass top I can sit it on to make it easier too.

i dont know how people get it so perfect !?!? i use tha torch method, and that works or placing the body posts in the right place, but thr rear body post is higher than the front and its hard to judge the wheel wells. i always mess them up only don one body perfect, my latest frewer stratus for my 200mm nitro..

So long as the handling isn't to drastic a change from Stratus D type that is?

easiest way and the way i do it, spend the 3 bucks on a extra set of body mounts, cut them so that the uncut body sits flat on the table while over the car chassis. line up the wheels in the wells. make sure side spacing is good, and then with a marker mark on the body where the body mounts are. paint the body, cut the body, drill the holes in body, peel off paint protector wrap, done.

I put the holes in my bodies beforepainting them.

I also trim and shape them beforehand too. It makes life alot easier.

Here's a pic of my most recent effort.

That is one of the BEST ideas I've read in a long time! I'll give that a go next time I'm doing a shell.

for some its a dust collector, for me, i was running the crap outta it, and loved it. it is a very very strong chassis. turn in early on some 2x4's and just find out how strong, car tumbled, flipped and rolled. no broken parts. but i do have the wide bumper on it. and after locating and purchasing extra arms, (just in case) i will drive it even harder.
