Team Losi JRXS Type-R
#8326
Hi I have the type R and run on high bite asphalt (colesium frederick md) and I'm looking for a setup that will work with the front One way without breaking the rear end out, appreciate any tips.
#8327
Go for one of the carpet rubber one way setups, they will be a great starter for the C.

is the compound choice too hard? (never ran sweep tires...)
Are you sprung too stiff/soft?
What is roll center at?
Have you driven on the track much?
is it the car, or the driver?
We need more details

you wrote your "equipments" not an "setup"
I think that is your problem
you don't know what your setup is.

im running mikey dibbs setup from the novak race. its the best setup that i have found. since i work at the place im on the track quite a bit. there is another guy running sweeps and hes running an xray at the full second faster. there is one other guy that works with me running a type r with a losi 13.5 and is the exact same setup and is pulling the same lap times as me.

Got about 3 weeks on both the car and rubber tires in general and I must say I love it. Car is ridiculously good. Also just got to run a Losi 4400mah 30C lipo tonight for the first time and it is as good as my SMC 4000mah lipo. Also love that the pack doesn't rub the pulleys at all with no modifications at all.
Am I just about sold on getting another car for foam? It's getting closer, but still unsure.

The Type R excels in foams and in the right hands is so stuck.

For those looking for the steel lipo tray. Not sure how many they have, but I emailed before ordering to make sure they had it in stock and they said they did at www.rc-mushroom.com. Not too much of a fan of ordering from Hong Kong, but if it's the only place the thing is available then ok.

Hey guys, a few folks in our club are struggling to get their R's working right on carpet with rubber tires. We're using Jaco Blue as our spec. Anybody mind pointing me to a reasonable setup to get these guys started in the right direction? Nothing too aggressive, if that's an option, the guys are still getting the hang of carpet. Thanks!
#8339
anybody have a good starting point setup for a Jrxs for rubbertire on carpet???

Battery tray screws
I was just wondering if anybody has tried/been successful in getting the battery tray screws to stay in the battery tray so they can't be lost? I was thinking of using shoe goo to put a bump on the thread right near the head of the screw while the screw was in the tray (hole). It would have to allow the screw to turn and screw all the way in but is this something that could be done? If it could it would save time looking for the screws and may even save a screw or 3.
