hey i just got looking at the tc5 ft spur gear hub (asc31154). i know it would be a sin to put an a$$ociated part on a losi but does anyone think it would work?

has anyone tried tc5 rear hubs onto the losi?

Also keep in mind that basically every part on the TC5 is now metric as opposed to everything being standard on the Losi. I doubt very much so that it's going to fit.
There's nothing wrong with the stock spurs either. They last just as long as any other spur out there. Since they're on backorder, just get yourself a PRS gear adapter. You can't go wrong with that.

Well I finally got my Type R today, and have to say I am very impressed! I've been mostly an Xray guy in the past, but had the original JRXS back in the day. However I didn't not have any luck with that car. The parts quality of the Type R was excellent, and the build up of the car was very enjoyable. I've always been known for having the worst diffs imaginable, but these ones went together pretty smoothly. The only issue I had with the car was changing camber on the front when using the JR link, its a little tricky bit I'll get used to it. Other then that I can't wait to hit the track with it!

Does anybody know where I can find 20mm fans? The smallest I have been able to find is 25mm.

I didn't have the parts to run my rubber tire car this weekend, so I spent the night building up my R for foams with Schreff's setup. Even on a green layout, it worked remarkably well. I have two questions, though:
1. I couldn't make the rear camber links as long as they are on the setup with the stock tie rods. Did you add longer rods? If so, which ones? Mine kept pulling out of the threads, so I ended up moving it to the middle hole on the rear shock tower.
2. What would I need to change to keep the roll center (or whatever) the same while running smaller tires? I've had really bad luck with the new larger wheel tires, especially the Pro 53's. I'm gonna go back to regular wheels, even if I'm a tad slower.
I've kind of shifted to rubber tire lately, and after today, realized it was the right choice for me. Foam tires just stress me out, and aren't as fun to drive. But, in the US, you never know where the competition is going to be, so it's good to be ready for foams if need be. I'm definitely going to keep the R around for that, the car felt dialed today, better than ever before. Thanks Schreff and Larry for all your hard work.

You only have to replace one of the ballcups, specifically the one that would connect to the shock tower. I just used some off road ones I had in my box but you could use any brand as long as they are longer then the stock ones. Schreff told be about that when I put the setup on my car for IIC. Once you replace the one ball cup you will be able to get the adjustment you need w/o any problems.
