Yep, he's right about the mold. They still appear to be EA3, but they feel more dense now, and definitely more solid. I don't think a picture would show any difference, though. I guess it was a martial thing.

yeah, i heard it's the same design but the mold process was changed / refined or something along those lines. also heard they're indestructible and should be available very soon.

They look a little different if you compare old to new side by side, at least it did to me. I am speakin to the material, mold has not changed. It will be awhile before I use them since I got a crap load of the old ones to use first.

I just weighed them, and they're identical. The only way I can tell the difference is the new arms have a little bit of a different texture on the surface of them, and the spots where they were clipped off the parts tree isn't white. Oh, and they're more rigid. It sounds like the issue is resolved, which means the car is now perfect. :-)

That is what I was getting at in that they looked different.

Hey Pooky, I hope I don't need them either, but the way I drive I will need them, I just hope I don't need them all in one weekend. The first time I ran the car, on the second lap I just touched a pipe ( I normally just drive into them) and it snapped the arm!!! I put the short arms on after that and had no other problems for the rest of the day, and I hit a lot of things. I wanted to see how the long arms did, but was afraid to use my other long arms that I had with me. Sorry you couldn't make it to the last BASS PRO race.

So where are you guys adding weight for LiPo cars?

I just found out that the local club track will allow LiPos now, but the car needs to make ROAR minimums. I have no idea where I'm going to shove over 4 ounces into this car... with the Orion Platinum, there isn't much room around the battery.
