#106
Its already out. A buddy of mine already has some but has yet to run them. They do look fast just sitting there though...lol

Got a chance to race this body for the first time this weekend with a 19turn car.
I alternated this body with the current carpet favorite (abbreviated P.A.) each run. I found my laptimes were very similar with the two. I can't say this body is necessarily faster than the P.A., but it is at least AS fast (which isn't necessarily a bad thing). Any laptime differences were less than a tenth, and there are so many other variables (better battery, track has more bite, better drive lines) that I can't chalk it up solely to the body.
However, the one difference I see is stability. The DNA body seems to be more stable than the P.A. Some people might like the more 'freed up' feeling of the P.A., and some might like the steadiness of the DNA. I can see this body being very good for Modified and 19Turn. Stock would be a toss-up.

PERFORMANCE FEEDBACK
I've had numerous drivers give me performance reports on the DNA1 touring car body. Drivers who are very good at what they do. They were all pretty much in agreement regarding its handling charactaristics with foam tires on a good carpet track.
All I can say is:
Dale - PROTOform Race Bodies
ps: it's now on ROAR's approved body list

McSmooth,
I agree. I always liked the G6 on carpet because it made the steering feel more aggressive. But I had a chance to run the DNA body on carpet @ Fastcats this past weekend and I really liked it for 19T. It had the perfect amount of steering and stability.
Dale, it's dialed!

Hey Dale,
Good job on this body... Used it today for the first time (rubbers on carpet), and I back up the previous statments about it being really stable. Wasn't too sure what I was expecting from the body (given it's mainly for foams), but it deffiently felt good on track, well balanced
Didn't manage to do a back to back with a Mazda or Dodge (my usual carpet shells, had other issue to sort today), but I'm pretty sure it'll be just as fast.
I expect it'll be really good on large flowing track with rubbers... low d/force and all. Roll on Carpet Wars 4
And above all... it's different to anything else out there
Cheers
Ed
