All of those droop gauges measure to the axle centerline, so even though the wheel size is different the value is still represented from the bottom of the chassis to the centerline.
(Please correct me if I'm wrong, but that's how i was told it all worked.) |

(Please correct me if I'm wrong, but that's how i was told it all worked.) MR33 Gage Wheel Diameter = 34.8 Gage height 25.0 = 17.6 actual (WD/2) + GHa = 35 35- 10 droop block = 25 |
Caster gauges are out of stock everywhere. Does anyone know if the aerox digital or some other brand work.

I just realized there is a newer version of the manual. The cover page is calling it Ver-03. (http://www.mugenseiki.co.jp/mugen/do...006_130925.pdf). I had not seen it before, so I thought I'd mention it.
Changes regarding: - Shock X-rings - Spur gear installation - Belt tension - Part updates (for turnbuckles at least) - Safety and operation page. Previous/older version: https://site.petitrc.com/reglages/mu...TC3_Manual.pdf (150425) |

Same part, just in the treatment. We were originally told to soak them for 2-3 hours, but now there is the caution to NOT leave them longer than 2-3 hours.
|
To help the team out, here are the highlights:
Ensure you have a 0.5 mm space behind the spur gear. If you are using a wide spur, you may need to apply a spacer as outlined. Also, there are updated gear ratios*. Initial heights of the belt tensioners are provided (3mm front/4.5mm rear) Guidance is also provided regarding the excentric [sic] (ha) inserts. Specifically, recommendations for settings when using 80t and 90t spurs are given along with a note that eccentric inserts are set first and then the tensioner bearings are used to fine tune. The safety in operations page reminds us how to turn things on and off, what to do if the car doesn't move, and how not to kill ourselves. Good lookin' out, Mugen. Seriously. *I think I previously heard that there was a new motor mount, and maybe the gear ratios relate to the use with that motor mount. I'm not too sure about that. |

My bad, I had the wrong link in there. Yep, that's the latest version. Thanks.
I guess newer kits are coming with the new mount and turnbuckles? |
