Not endorsing it but has anyone used HUDY 293352?

What are the diameters of the 2 holes?

I didnt try that one but the Schumacher one worked perfect for my MTC3.
It fit perfect with out rubbing on the servo mount.

I have one on my car and mounted to the lower hole. The holes are tapped 3mm. They are 14.5mm and 18.5mm from CL of servo output.

Edit - Looks like actually 15 and 19, I was half a mm off with my eyecrometer and calipers!

Guys thanks for the info, was really helpful.

I use Mugen's adjustable servo arm. I flipped the part that slides up and down upside down so the effective arm length is shorter than 18mm.

Are the bypass bodies, like the progressive springs, only intended for the front?

No you can try. I've tried the bypass on the back and progressive springs.

For me what I found was the car felt really "floaty". That sensation is really just a rear end just never really sets after you have all this weight transfer near the center. Also indoors with the amount of traction, it's the relation of grip to the front. So as the car transitions throughout the turn, the front continues a rate of rotation at a higher curve to the rear. You could probably tune this out with more front tuning and maybe more front glueing. Or maybe a harder progressive rear / softer front spring.

I bet guys that run outdoors have more success using the bypass or progressives in the rear.

What spur gear makers fit the MTC3? I have one Axon on the car and need some spares and different sizes. Axons are sold out on Amain. I tried a Kimbrough, but it didn't line up, neither did the Xrays.

Thanks Bob! The Hiro Seiko spurs should fit as well and they are pretty good. The teeth are a little wider for those running. modified.

Is anyone else getting a sort of 'sprung' binding in the steering arm when tightening the highlighted screws (particularly the 2x6).

What I mean by 'sprung' is that after the 2x6 is tightened, the arm moves freely for a portion of its travel and then binds. Then when I push it to get past the binding, the arm suddenly flips the rest of the way... I guess it's like a light switch. You move it to a certain point, and then it will snap the rest of the way. My steering arm is doing something like that when I tighten 2x6.

Make sure you have all the correct shims and washers in place. I had that same issue where it feels like the 2x6 screw is squeezing the bearings too hard and binding the action. Once I triple checked everything it was buttery smooth.

archivist 11-21-2025 09:19 PM

Double-checked that and it was all good. Thanks! Seems my titanium screw (3x10) is very, very slightly bent at the head--probably from the turnbuckle buster the other week. swapped it and we are smooth again.
