I think Tamiya did a great job on the new High End kit as well as the EVO and the tub chassis TA08R ( Which is somewhat based off of this ). Tamiya MAIN object is plastic model kits, that is the bread and butter. The fact a company can release a kit like this, still have plastic model kits, educational kits, TRF cars, TCS racing, mini 4WD ( cars and races ) is pretty extraordinary. Hell traxxas can't even give you one of these that is decent.

Do wish they'd opted for direct wheel hexes like some other brands but Axon made them for the 420 so maybe they will for the 421.
Other than that I actually quite like the use of plastic arms. Mostly an indoor racer and given previous Tamiya procing it shouldn't be too expensive to keep a good stock of suspension spares on hand

Was about spot on with the TA08R cost prediction following the same 70%. List price change from the TRF420X is probably a combo of trying to be more competitive on cost and the drastically weak yen against the US dollar in the last few years. I bet overseas purchases, it will probably be $550-600 shipped. Too bad Tower no longer does member coupons.
