Well we had a great day racing the new class outdoors- 5 cars. Worked on my car all week to get it ready. Everyone had a different body and paint scheme. Tire wear was min. Now we have afew more coming next month. The class will grow as it should. Still have a few tweeks to do before my next race. Talked to my old racing buddy and he has two cars build ready to race. We all had a great time and plan on having more fun at the next scheduled race.

I don't think there was any video taken yesterday but I will check. As for gearing we don't run 48 pitch except off road. I was using my new Trinity 25.5 XFactor geared 36 x84 with tires out of the box from CRC and the Montech E-B1 body. The other bodies used were Protoform GT40 and Vette, Lotus from Delta and an HPI GT1

Just taking a wild ass guess here - maybe they want to attract new people to the class, that don't have a WGT car and 1S electronics yet - and so going with a 2S system, allows those people to reuse their existing electronics...?

To the guy in Washington we came up with this class to have fun and use the equipment we have. As for WGT Guess what tryed to get the orginal WGT going down here- Me and Hector G (now lives in your state). First we tried to get several companies to go along with it .This was the time when TC was introduced and taking over RC. No body wanted to do it. It died for a few years and BMI made a hard push and got it going. Only problem it was 4 cell and 13.5. I tried to get it with 1 cell and 13.5 for a year against everyone else in our state series. the following year it went one cell.
Now 20 years later the class was dead here- We came up something that works here. This is why the title of the thread. We are bringing back a dead class like we did with 1/12th. Every race we get more and more people wanting something simple to race and have fun. People came by our tents yesterday asking questions- Our tents have what we race and if they are interested in something else(TC) will point them in the right direction. I've been doing that for years!
Well if your group want to race what we do - great if not?

Hey Bill, are you coming down to practice for FSEARA this Saturday? I would like to watch how 1/10th scale pan drives on asphalt. I already know they do great on carpet. WGT was my favorite class when I raced for a period in 2012/13. I ran on carpet at Plant City until it closed (which triggered me to drop out again until last year). I only run 1/12th on carpet now as I did not really care how it ran on asphalt. If 1/10th runs well on asphalt and carpet, I may consider putting one together and running GT10 at both Valkaria and Beach Line. I knew I shouldn't have sold my extra transponder and ESC.

What pan cars are 190-200mm? (I don’t know other than 1/10 Electric TC and 1/10 Nitro/74X/75X cars)

Henry,
1/12 runs just fine at your track. I can put the car where I want it. I assume 1/10 with foams will be the same.....

You can look up under CRC the SE pan car works best. They are other brands either 190 or 200mm. Bodies are either 190-200mm (as long as the wheels don't go past the bodys wheel wells. Henry Not going anywhere until the state race. Me and Izzy and a few others will be there Sat and Sun for the state race with our cars
