Most 1/10 pan cars are built with an intended width of 200. Some can be adjusted narrower approaching 190. The main rule is with the bodies and sharing them with T/C platforms which can be bodies designed for 190 wide. An example is Protoform makes the Ford GT in both 190 and 200 widths. To race in this class as I see the rule, the tires cant stick out from under the body and that is done for realism. WGTR has the sale rule about tires being inside the body.
I run my CRC WGTR at 190 wide front and rear for handling.

I am getting a car ready are they going to run next at Valkaria or Flagler again ? And if Valkaria are you changing spur gears since it is a big track ?

We will run at the following tracks that I know of: Hero's, Flagler and indoors at Beachline. Discussions with Valkaria is ongoing? However we will be testing at Valkaria next Saturday before the state race. By the way the track at Beachline is quite big. It will depend on what motor but what we have been running is 36 X 84..

Great to see my Snowbirds buddies in Florida racing this great class with rules that work for them.

This is a class I really miss being able to race. I did a meeting on a great UK outdoor track with WGT/GT10 on foams, and once we had the additive sorted it was a lot of fun.

The UK rules did at various points allow 1S and 2S combinations to run together. Given 2S and 25.5T motors are the F1 class rules in the US, it makes sense to me to bring those over to GT10. As we used to run 10.5 turn boosted here, I know the cars can handle the power.

Keep up the great work. You might just inspire me to get my CRC car sorted to run at my local carpet club over winter!

Thanks Mark if we get this growing by the Birds maybe we can get a demo class there? Always fun racing against you and this has brought many of or lost racers back in the short time we started this.

This weekend is the start of the 42nd year of the FSEARA series at the Valkaria . Since this is a new class and we have drivers coming out of the wood work to come back and race this will be a test session on Saturday before the series starts. Although it will not be a class in the series this year we will have plenty cars testing on Saturday. However we do have the next two weekends of racing (Carpet and then parking lot) coming. It will be fun seeing some of these guys coming back to race with us!

BullFrog - We are working on getting a GT10 class started at RCCA in Fort Worth, TX. We also are going the route of 2S electronics and stripe WGT foam tires. The motor is undecided, though we are currently eyeballing the USGT motors.With the 25.5T motors, are the GT10 cars turning lap times faster or slower than a 21.5T Stock Sedan?

In the meantime, I tossed in a 13.5T motor with 2S and was allowed to run in Mod Sedan last weekend. Fun car. Results and video in the link below

I tested mine after sitting on a shelf for nearly 5 years and was having a blast. And yes it was as fast if not faster than most of the 21.5 spec usgt cars that was there that day. Was turning faster lap times than my F1 car and the motor I had in it wasn't one of my best.

In Florida we run open motors. As for speed wise compaired to other classes I don't know as I don't pay attention to anything but what I run. As for gear wise don't know until I get to Valkaria and test. If you need any spur gears except 84 you can see me.

Well last weekend was a bust as we just did a practice on the carpet. This weekend we are racing at a parking lot. Should have a good turnout of new /old drivers.Got my car already to go with my new paint scheme.

Well this weekend we had races at two different tracks- Flagler and Hero's.5-6 cars at both tracks I came in 3rd with my good friend came in first (Tom).. I also tried two different bodies but needed longer body post for one of my bodies(Vette). Main thing had fun.

What do your 17.5 stripe 1/12th scale cars run on this track? This will be your gauge. Your proposed GT10 setup should yield a quicker time around your track than 1/12th scale. I'm guessing by about 1/2 second. The fact that you basically matched the hot lap of a TC with probably a 4.5T motor shows how much the more efficient drivetrain, extra grip and weight advantage all come into play.
