Hi,
i have an LRP Sphere TC Spec ESC which seems to have a problem. the low-end power is fine but when it comes to top-end it seems that the motor just won't reach it's highest rev. tried to repeat the setup procedure but didn't work out.
i borrowed my friends' ESC (same spec) and seems that the motor revs higher so i suspect that the problem lies with ESC and not motor.
has anyone encounter this kind of problem before? i was told that usually ESCs won't encounter such problem (drop in performance) it's either run or total dead but nothing in the middle.
your input is much appreciated, just wanna gather some infos before spending $$$ on new ESC...
thanks

hi, i recently smoked my TC Spec ESC running mod. have a 2007 Sphere Competition as a back-up ESC. Would anywone know if its safe to run it with a 4.0 BL and 2-cell lipo in the meantime while i save up for a new ESC? have the heatsink installed and added a fan. also added an additional cap (1000mf). btw, running touring car, rubber tires on asphalt.

This is actually being asked on someone else's behalf.
Any recommendations for gearing with a 17.5 around here;
Sorry, no info on which 17.5 at the moment.

Use it as a backup sometimes..TC spec.. run fdr 3.5-3.7 profile 7 or 8.. on a big track like that though you could probably even go down under 3.5
