What shock oil did you use with this spring set up?

Sounds like more than just a bit. Has the car been slow before, or did you have handling issues?

I apologize if this has been covered earlier on this thread. I am having issues with finding a "ticking" in the drivetrain when cornering. If the car is on the stand, I can go WOT and turn the car from lock-to-lock and it doesn't make the sound. This leads me to wonder if it is the belts touching at the spur gear when under cornering load. Ideas? Opinions?
Thanks.

Possibly check your axle blades, and also the cir-clips at the DCJ.

Check to make sure nothing is touching the outdrives on all four corners of your car (lf,rf,rr,lr) Check the red area in the picture below. Sometimes the screws can be screwed in too long and touch the outdrives under load. As mentioned, the black clips on the front outdrives can be the first thing to touch the outdrives in this area.

I just placed a pre order for mine. I know Kim and he said he liked it, what are your thoughts about the chassis?

There wasn't a single mugen at the event, mainly AMX's. Xray's and a few other brands.

Could someone explain how the bypass shocks work and in what conditions should they be ran?

Do they function like the progressive inserts in X-ray and other shocks?

The bypass shock cases do not behave like the sleeve inserts found in the X-ray. They do exactly what they are named, they allow the shock fluid to flow passed the edge of the piston and not through the piston orifices. Greatly reduces the shock pack. I believe they work more effectively if a piston with three holes were used. If you plan on using them with the stock piston, I’d almost double the shock fluid viscosity. The Officina variant of the bypass is a bit more progressive but not much.

So what conditions would they be used for? With that description, it would seem they are suited for bumpier outdoor tracks vs smoother indoor carpet tracks

A friend suggested and lent me his pair of MSE bypass shock bodies to use and I cant feel any discernable differences between the stock and bypass on my car. Ive kept everything else the same, same spring, same pistons, same wt oil.

i have officiana ones and the oil was way two low even at 500 cst with 7.0p spring on the front on a low grip carpet. The car was rolling way too much for me and felt like it was digging in. I have since hardened the front spring and gone back to the normal shocks and the car was much better entering the corners. We do change the track weekly so was difficult to completely compare. I have seen on Facebook some guys have them on their setup for high grip so maybe a bit more roll helps them. Not sure
