Thank you for the setup tips, Mike. Your support means a ton! My first race with the car is next weekend so I知 excited to give it a go. Ambient temps of 80+ for that event so I値l have to play with the setup a bit.

Hey Mike:
Would you consider your "Long Track" setup the most up to dat for Camarillo? Also, What are your thoughts about using sway bars and damper tubes on a track like Camarillo?

I see your center post is doing the same thing, but not nearly as severely as mine was. What you did to fix it would only work for a short time as the problem is the chassis itself getting weak. I changed my chassis and all of that slop is gone and I have the steering that I have been looking for for months.

Gear drive Exotek F1 Ultra
My home track is Camarillo, Ca which is a large asphalt track with low-medium grip. I would like to know what people think of using the Xray Gear Diff in these conditions compared to the ball diff?

Hi, Actually, even at the a large track like Steel City (twice as large as Cam), I ended up using the Cal Raceway set up (like the one below). It's just a good balanced set up that seems to work everywhere for asphalt. From there you just tune via the front tires.
If the grip is medium low the steel axle ball diff is better. Gear diff is for medium/high grip. A few years ago we used to use the Xray gear diff at Cam but maybe the track conditions were better back then. It's an easy swap to try either though.

I noticed the hard chassis is not currently listed on the Exotek site, but still available on other stores. I don't know if it's discontinued, or if there may be a revised version coming?

How do you guys re-grease the stock ball diff thrust bearing? I'm only familiar with the exposed thust bearing with black grease?

I race on carpet, and I really like the hard chassis. Though it didn't seem like a drastic change, the car was more predictable/consistent, and seemed to respond better to setup changes (at least at our track). Don't be afraid to try both wheelbase settings, as the car can be very fast with either one.
