What did you not like about the vette handling wise?

I have it in my cart right now on amain along with other bits to order.

I tried the Mon Tech Akura this past weekend and the body has a lot of downforce! On CRC black carpet, high bite, It was too much and car slowed way down. I switch back to the MonTech Porsche GT3 and the speed was back! Also, saw the new Blitz P1 and it was very fast and good, but not sure how it compares. P1 is on the way!

On the vette I did not cut the top line off. Next I cut a center section out. Then I retired the body and my friend wanted to run it. I cut the entire cutline to the lower line and gave him the body. Both of us have CRC cars set- up similiar. I have the CK25 and he has the Xti version. I ran my Porsche on our Black carpet . As for the P1 I usually run this body out doors. But the guy that won the A main ran his Awesomematic 1/12th with the P1 body. The Akura ran okay but my Porsche body runs the best for me. I will try it again in January before I go to the birds. One thing is you need to see what works for you. I had the time and extra funds to have all three bodies to try .

Here in Vegas, people are favoring the Porsche but the Agata and Akura are hanging with it. Most weekends our top 5 cars are different chasis with different motor brands and bodies. We are on high grip carpet with 2s 25.5 and Gravity tyres, its fast and fun and close to the most popular class here. I'm painting up a Corvette to try this weekend with the Akura as a back up.

How far you want to drive to race? We have a very small class of GT12 that we run on Friday nights at MRCR in South Bend.

Anyway, just a comment for anyone interested in the class. These cars are super easy to drive. I'm not saying they are super easy to drive fast, but they are easy to drive.

Unfortunately that’s too far. Especially on a Friday night. For now I’ve just switched to off road. Undecided if I’ll go back to on road. More then occasionally

I think you have confused this GT12 thread with USGT? Not the same...

I recall a group was trying to get their version of GT12 going about a year ago. Somewhere here I believe a thread was started for it.

Go read the first post in this thread....This thread was started to discuss 2S/25.5 GT12.

Seems like lots of guys didn't bother to pay attention to that and have jumped in here to discuss the 1S version running USGT motor and SJT rubber tires. Others are running 1S/Open 21.5/foam tires. The only common ground seems to be 12th scale chassis and "GT" style bodies.

Instead of adding one more class they've managed to add 3+ new classes. LOL!

"Gravity" tires confused me, I assumed they only offered 1/10th scale.
With a little research,......G-Spec....https://www.teamgravityrc.com/online...e-4-p111799571

Any post I do - We the guys from Florida race both indoors and outdoors(started our version) - 1 cell any 21.5 and foam tires and any GT body. We run foam because we only have one indoor track. When we wear down the foams out doors they are perfect for indoors. But with Yokomo offering a different rubber tire I ordered them today. But it will be awhile before I get to try them out. As for travel My closest track in 2 hours away - if you like the hobby like I do ,my dirt track is 30 minutes away. If given a choice I'll travel 2 hours to race over dirt oval.
Going back to bodies I did race the Agata and it was my indoor body. The Porsche is now the indoor body for me.

So much for not being like everybody else, P1 is on the way. Now that I have my looping problem fixed I can drive the car and try to keep up.
