I've switched over to the Rayspeed RS-14 3x1.2mm piston which is apparently the preferred piston for tarmac with the Yokomo shocks in the UK.

Haven't done any back to back testing with the kit piston (3x0.9mm) but the car seems a bit more planted.

Other people are drilling their pistons or running the kit ones.

Oil weights around #400/#450.

I recently switched from x-ray 30wt to integy 25wt with 3 hole. quite like the feel of the chassis now, but might try the 2 hole piston.

It was at the start, but grip faded fast. funny thing was even with high grip it was hard to do fast laps cause car was hard to handle. ran max sway bar to settle down, but was back to softest at end of night.

New lap record at windsor = 10.8sec

Our club had it's big race this past weekend and I received a 3.5mm chassis on the first day of the race. I was going to run in rubber class but as I received the chassis, I borrowed a front diff and ran in the 19 turn foam class.

I spent the first day building the car so didn't get to race. Unfortunately, I didn't have a whole lot of time to play with set up. All I had time to change was springs, shock angles and wheel base.

I threw it on the track and was very surprised at how drivable the car was. I ended up running a personal best (previously set with a T2) and finished 6th in the 'A'. I did end up tearing some teeth off the front belt which slowed me down a bit.
I'm sure with some more tuning this car will be a rocket.

I'm not sure where abouts in Australia you are but you can try contacting Windsor Racing and Hobby Centre in Windsor, west of Sydney.
Numbers to reach them are (02) 4577 3166 or (02) 4577 2466. You could also try emailing them at [email protected].

While I live in Canada, I personally have visited this store when I was there in October '06 and I must say that Steve is extremely helpful.

If you're not in Sydney, then I don't really know. You could try messaging RodM here on RCtech. I beleive he runs RCShop in Australia.

Kid TT, Windsor hobbies has both the std red kit and the 2008 kit with all the extra chassis alloy pieces included. The price is very good also, give them a call, no doubt Steve will ship.
