And that's the big difference haha. It's not something that our rc announcers were able to keep on top of.

I don't think there are any rules against getting a friend to monitor the race and keep you notified

I know I'm not explaining it well but the point is the pitting just confused the running order and no one knew who they were racing for position with. It felt like practice laps (boring) except for the last few minutes if that makes sense.
This could be rectified with a good race announcer who calls battles/traffic on the track. I love the pit stop aspect!

You should considering coming into Vegas at some point. The new 702 RC Raceway is incredible, black carpet, huge space and track. Dwayne's done an amazing job getting this place put together. F1's been a joy to drive on the new black carpet and larger layout.

Tony, the UF1 discussion has been started in Texas as well. Looks like we also may be getting something together again. Thanks for posting this up,

You won't be disappointed. It's gotta be one of the nicer places in the country to race now.

Here's a little quickie Pit Stop Procedure vid we created for those that aren't familiar:

The pit stop not only allows you a little break during your 15-minute main (or 10-minute main if you are a F2 driver), it also allows you to change your position on track, great if you are stuck in a heated battle or surrounded by traffic.

While some will argue that it does make it a little difficult to tell who's racing who on the track, the race director can get an idea based on track position, the scoring screen and the pit dots on the nose. Most love the pits simply because it does add a more authentic feel to the race.
