Hello UF1 fans,

One of our own has come upon hard times. Calvin Simmons was hospitalized Saturday. Not entirely sure of the details but from what I've learned, it is possibly stroke related. Panda visited him today at the hospital and talked to him. More details are on the TQ page at https://www.rctech.net/forum/showpos...postcount=6351

Craig "Cuda" Hammon started a GoFundMe for Calvin to help with the hospital bills at https://www.gofundme.com/calvin-simmons

Also, be on the look out on smoking deals for R1 and Xray gear as his car was broken into while left at TQ when he was hospitalized.... Not sure what all was taken.

Apologies on the vagueness but this is all I know at this time...

Kevin ("Panda") has visited Calvin and continues to post updates. Thank you Kevin!

Another good day for Calvin and if you have not seen the post and picture by Jeff G. yet on Face Plant, Calvin flipping the bird is a good sign. Was able to spend 1.5 hours with Calvin today and he still had energy to finish watching the episode of Family Guy that was on TV. The PT came in and Calvin was able to get out of bed and we took a walk up and down the hallway. Made sure no plumbers crack was showing. His blood pressure was heading up after the walk so back to bed to rest. Calvin does not have medical insurance with his current employer so the staff at St. Jude's is working with Orange County and the state to try to get coverage. Calvin had to sign some papers and was able to. Just last Thursday, all he could do was scribble. Cal is ansty to get out but realizes he needs to heal more before they release him. His memory is getting better as he finally remembered he is older than me but said he wishes he was 40 like he said last week.

Looks like it could be wet or rain Saturday night which means it may not dry out in time for cold and cloudy Sunday...?

Last Sunday was actually pretty good after Saturdays rain. But the sun did come out.
