Ouch! Why so late? I mean I see the drivers in Europe racing the new version already.

i believe its still in the pre-production stage. Once it jumps into production, it will be a few months before it hits the stores. like i said before, no promises.

Cool beans. How is parts support for the current AVID? I am in need of parts pretty fast before a big race THIS Saturday. I am down 4 and 5 degree hubs, spring set, and spool.

Hey James, Mimi made the order last night at 6:00 pm. She gave you the part numbers as well. Do you have those part numbers in stock?

Good deal, James. Robitronic has done well with representation from a dedicated and professional person as yourself.

Also, I saw that Robitronic has a Hauler bag!! Check it:

Any details on availability here in the USA?

Hey James, figured I share this with you and ask for verification:

New AVID 2:

Here is the information about the car:

Sven Zünd, one of the designer of the car presents us the all new Robitronic AVID 2. He design the car with Thomas Nagel, all done in Switzerland. The project starts in january and take about a month of work. 360 hours were needed to complete it and the prototype was done just in time for the Nuremberg Toy Fair.
The car is due to be release in october if all goes well.

New on the car:
- New chassis plate and top deck which is longer and narrower. It is also 3mm lower than the old design
- new plastics less fragile
- new fixation for front and rear hub with a small screw
- new bulkheads
- new shock towers
- new direction with a carbon ackermann plate

Production kit will be release will alloy screws, a spool, all blocs to adjust toe.
Options will be sway bars from different diameters, new shock springs, a multidiff and white low friction belts very consitants.

Rumor has it they are also working on a chassis to accept LiPo batteries 5000+ mah. I was wondering if this is true.

I hope everyone enjoys the pictures!

Slideaway, do you have any new info on the new AVID car? Since you are closer to the European development team, I figure you would have more information for us, or any new developments. Especially any confirmation about this October release for the new AVID.

I don't know why but the "left side, right side" on the knuckles really bothers me, L/R would suffice

LOL! I figure, why not label everything else!!

One-Way, Spool, Bulkhead, Lower Chassis, Upper Chassis, CVD L/R, Body Post...

It is funny! But hey, it really is a great car in my opinion. I love it.
