Here’s a little logic.

Mod

That class already is there for ALL to run.

So for the ones that aren’t happy with the current “spec” classes. Go run mod. It’s there, no need for any change.

Instead of buying a handout motor buy a mod and run. Be Happy happy happy.

For the ones that are ok with “spec” classes they can continue the way they are.

sounds good as well....and we will find something like say servos...you know a good $160 servo is worth 2/10 anyday...and dont get me started on the servo horns...man that Xray one "everyone" uses is way overpriced....you know much like these motors we talking about...Get It

maybe this has been touched on....how about a spec motor for each class?.... like every class?....Euro/Semi Truck to Mod...maybe not Mod, but at least 13.5....for every class...get all the motor company's to bid on a spec motor for a spec class. And then we solve it.....

Wait, ROAR says no monopoly right?....VTA Novak Only motors?...oh yeah I remember that...worked for years for most of us, but the constant complaining for racers and other companies was crazy....then Novak went bye bye, and now ROAR legal 25.5 motors and the racing has increased as far as I can tell....

oh this is bad...lets just give ROAR a chance to correct any issues before we the people take to the streets, or internet and protest....we might be surprised that with your ROAR memebership and support of ROAR events will see your $$$$$ ay work...just saying

Well, you guys are willing to pay almost 200 dollar for a spec motor and then even want to buy an optional rotor. OK, not 400 dollar but it is on its way. And do not forget the 100 dollar motor analyser you can leave home with a handout.

D3.5 actually can be put back to the approved list now. Anything came out after it is faster than it and now 3.5 is just a 50 bucks motor .

well, sorry buddy...still missing this...most of the new motors are $100 to $150 tune and rotor incl.... but if you get a $400 motor from whoever ...yeepie

I got a better idea, instead of sandbagging in the spec classes kick the trophy chasers out and make them run mod.
