Since the stand up gearbox is the same from the 3.0 will the 3.0 4 gear stand up box work as well?

I built the diff, tightened, broke in properly, it barked setting the slipper. Diff loosened after this, tightened up and it felt ok. After one race night it was not smooth. Took the diff apart, cleaned and flipped the rings. Put diff back together, broke in, felt good and crunchy again 2 days of race. Not sure what the problem is here, but my buggy does not drive well and i'm blaming the diff.

It's not an assembly issue, i have built so many diff's and never had this kind of trouble. My B6 diffs last a good 2 months before I tear them down and they are barely not smooth at that point.

Are you guys having trouble with the diff? I ordered a MIP super diff, going to give that a try.

I believe I read in past posts that some people were having problems with the outdrive machining on the diffs and where having to call horizon to get new outdrives. Maybe you where one of the lucky ones that got a bad one.

I had all kinds of problems with the diff at first. It was to the point that I was thinking of getting rid of the car and getting something else as the gear diff is nowhere to be found.

I now switched over to MIP puck diff and problem solved.

They have the same tlr part number for outdrives and diff gear, so i assumed the super diff would work. Not sure about the bone length though.

Looks like the revised ball diffs are now available. Will be interested to hear that revised ball diffs have worked out the problems.

Frank,
Installed revised ball diff and appears all is good. Replaced stock cva driveshafts with aluminum ones....232058. I assume the 4mm crush washer is the same for steel vs aluminum driveshafts. Can not figure out, however, what the other 1mm washer is for. Inner diameter fits axle but do not see it being used on any figures in sr manual. Help.

Well I got my prototype battery strap in... needs a couple minor tweaks but otherwise I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. That said, Exotek just released a CF strap that accomplishes the same thing, so honestly I'm just going to get that

Those spacers can go on the axles before they are installed into the hubs, to space the driveshaft in as a tuning option. I wouldn't recommend it for the SR drivetrain.

Looks like a nice kit. The people that own these at my track seem to break quite a bit. I don't know if it's our track is harder than most peoples tracks or maybe it's just they're driving style. How does everyone find the durability of theirs? I've thought about buying one but the regularity of repairs by others I've watched has been putting me off
