Another question guys. Ill be running the Tekin esc and 1900kv motor combo in this buggy and was wondering if this is the right pinion gear to get? Part number is TKR4176.

Yes, I'm betting either 16t or 17t myself...I'm going to have both on hand.

I tested the 15t(had one lying around) and there was not much difference from 1/4 throttle to full. Im going to try 16/17t next. Can't wait for the warm weather!

I would check your radio settings, because no matter what pinion you are running there should be a significant change in wheel speed from 1/4 to full throttle.

You can always build one part by part or convert a .3, but it is more expensive than a kit!

Holy bmx style jumps! I think you'll like it when you go down in diff oil.

Our 1st tekno,so we wanted to see how it performed with heavier oils. We always ran 774 in the mugen. This is the best ebuggy out there

so you previously ran the mbx7r eco ? how would you compair it to the eb48.4 ?

werner sline 02-16-2017 01:33 PM

any other bodies painted?

Derrick87 02-16-2017 05:20 PM

What extra parts should i have on hand that are most likely to break on this buggy?

My son said he can drive the tekno mire relaxed compared to the mugen. Said he had to push the mugen harder to go fast. Build was easier. My hobbywing esc/motor runs cooler in this buggy. Different gear ratio in sure. Lands like a cat. Only negative about the tekno compared to the mugen, mugen you can run 2 2s packs.

No painted body yet, but will have it in a few days

My statement did not come out correctly. What i was trying to say is that in comparison to my .3 running an 18t pinion(noticeable throttle range/top end) my .4 testing the 15t pinion did not have that range(i understand less teeth/less top end) i guess the difference was drastic to me and thats why i said i didn't see significant change. I guess with the smaller pinion i would have to tweak my throttle settings.

Loving my EB48.4. Raced it about 4 times now and super impressed with it.
