I am thinking I'll start off easy and run a v3.1 and a 10.5t gen 2 hobbywing setup. Never ran 10th scale 4wd before so I am not jumping straight into the 6.5's til I learn to drive it cleanly. Plus I already have that motor and esc laying around so why not.

Excited to say the least, always wanted to give these a shot but it's never been a consistent class anywhere I've lived.

10.5 is a pretty common motor here that offers good control and power. Heck, you may surprise some of those running hotter mods

Looking forward to seeing one of these up close as one of the racers here I can almost be willing to bet money on will have one of these. :sneaky:

For the guys having a "twitchy" feel, is this on clay, carpet, turf, dirt?

Since most are rec going with longer camber links to help with the issue, are you guys still using a front sway bar? TIA.

I could definitely see it being a good motor for 4wd. I ran it for 2 practice sessions in my b6 and went to a 7.5 because the tq was so quick to ramp up in the buggy I couldn't drive it consistently. The 7.5 is actually easier for me to control. That 10.5 is a freakin beast down low even with a ridiculous amount of punch taken out.

Not sure about the twitchy part. But I run on indoor clay and the first time I ran I had no steering... learned from my Tekno to take the front sway off to increase steering and saw from another running one who had great steering that the only real difference was my front links were on the outside holes and his inside... used that adjustment and conmpetly different car...

Short answer... no... :p

Hinge pins on this kit are 3mm right? Trying to make sure I've got what I need on hand to build it.

Outer hinge pins are 3mm. Pretty sure inner are 3.5mm.

Thanks. Gotta order a 3.5 reamer then.

Not needed.

One less thing to buy then. Picked up the kit today. Going to try to hold off building it til I get to work next week so I'll have something to tinker to perfection with but we will see if I can wait lol

What sensor wire length is everybody using?

What is a good basic setup for outdoor? Not motor links and stuff.

I would suggest having a 3mm tap on hand as some of the threads in the bulkheads are very tight. I tapped mine about 3/4 of the way through so the last bit was still tight to hold the screw firm.

Sounds good, I've got one of those.
