Just wondering what sort of weight you guy's are running the car with Lipo's? I have a lead underneath my lipos and the car is only just at minimum weight.

If I take the lead out I'm 15 grams underweight if I use bigshots, and I've replaced a lot of the aluminium screws I used to run with steel ones. I'm using IP5400s which aren't that light either.

Holeshots are the control tyre, so that will add 25 grams or so to the weight.

I'm hoping to get to run there too. There could be a few of us, it will be nice to have people to talk to about set-up for a change.

Are you running Mod or Stock?

I'll most likely run mod . I'm fairly new to xx4 and have had a bad run with reliability , belt issues has been the big one . Have recently rebuilt and got some practice in at the the new titles track , and glad to report i actually ran a few packs without anything going wrong . hope to get some more track time this weekend and work on setup and try get this thing dialled in .
It would be good to see u come up for the event . Hopefully Qld turns on the sunshine .

Dyno -

Any recent setup changes as of late due to more testing?

Front - stock WE, except for moving the inner camber location in one hole.

Rear - newer rear package with pink springs, and camber location in B hole on hub.

I had some reliability problems last weekend too. Something in the rear end was binding, so I took the car apart, saw a knick in the belt and replaced it only to find that the problem was an outdrive bearing that seized in the next run. It was 2/3 qualifying so that killed my day despite the fact I had awesome car speed. It is kind of ironic that the newest part on the car failed though -- ceramic bearing installed 2 months ago. I'm going back to the red-seal units after that!

Default Belt

I just did, Like Beau S entionned earlier, it lasted about 2 full days and start to skip. Once it started skipping, I went to to tighter setting A block with the arrow going pointing to the back but it was still skipping.

I dont have the rollers that goes against the belt though so I would suggest using it.

The front seems to be lasting longer but it as way less load.

Hi guys can someone give me a starting point for 17.5 in my XX4 as the last time I used this awsome car was with a 9x2 brused motor.
Hope to set this up for my son until he learns to drive a bit better.

Assuming non-boosted operation I'm running as low as 4.9, but my drive train is significantly lightened. Try starting around 5.5, run a heat sink and a fan if you can and check the motor temp every couple of minutes first time out in case I've underestimated the influence of all that steel.

Hmmmn! i dont have such issue with the rear belt i have this red instead of the typical green losi belts, my concern are the two front side belts its deteriorated already with apparent teeth though!

its obvious that my belts breaks bacause of its age (long time storage) and not by the use.
