Default Team Losi's Baja Rey Thread

Looks like Losi is submitting a new vehicle to compete with Axial on the Baja circuit. Here it is:

I preordered tonight. The Axial looked good. But had passed on it so far. Not sure what or why, but something looks different about it. Even in the short video of it. So I figured why not. It's different.

There is only one other tuck that I am aware of. So a would say no one is class racing yet.

I wont this losi truck and if a track opens up around here. I am going to go race it in the 4X4 class.

Seeing the videos of the rock racers at least, the scale kind of racing seemed fun. who knows, maybe this will be the next big thing.

Well besides Axial, Vaterra and some other home-made chassis, ThunderTiger's version called "The Jackal" has basically the same design. So if there were a class to compete in, people would have options to choose from.

Default This is cowboy country yo!

Parking lot days are still the best thing that ever happened to onroad sedan racing. Bring with what you got and use the parking lot to race on an empty Sunday lot to attract shoppers. These were great after saying many "amens" and "hallelujahs".

Now, instead of running in groomed tracks and artificial carpet...people need to realize that these little RC cars and trucks can run almost in any outside terrain. People just need to group up and run these things in its most basic elements, ungroomed and 100% natural state outside. Add a little puddle of water, a sand pit or heck add some dog poop so racers will truly have an obstacle. Hit the shitter segment and your car will be smelling like crap. Making "dirt" vehicles for carpet racing has just gone F1 racing. I guess we need to run F1 vehicles on grass then.

Vehicles like this Losi Baja Rey needs no carpet to run and it prefers the real outdoor elements. This should promote free racing or close to what it needs to be in this hobby. I just got my epiphany moment there.
Totallyosho likes this.
