I also run the Mugen upper front arms and Mugen turn buckles on the rear, I stripped out the 45mm threads and upgraded to 50mm turnbuckles and haven't stripped any more threads since. I've only broken 1 upper Mugen arm in 4 months as well. I'd say the truck is about average in durability... it can handle mild tumbles without much risk of breaking parts, but my pucker factor kicks in when taking big air and not having a clean landing. On occasion, I've tangled with other brands on the track and watched them break while I got out squeaky clean... sometimes it's luck of the draw
I'm still thinking about it. The truck is at a really good price, but it sucks it breaks that often. Are these the mugen parts you are using: https://www.amainhobbies.com/mugen-s...ge0180/p141407 and https://www.amainhobbies.com/protek-...-7007/p446783? And is there any mods you need to do to make these work?

Stock spur gear is plastic, I think I saw an optional metal spur gear somewhere but not 100% sure they have one or not.

Stock plastic spur is all you need, been running the truck for over a year and stripped one out, human error. As far as broken parts, the chassis is some what narrow towards the rear in respect to the rest of the chassis. If hit the wrong way it can cause allot of flex. At a competition race coming off a large double at high speed I was nudged by a racer. This sent me nose first into landing jump and gave me all kinds of trouble, stripped the rear and middle diff, diff pinion and bent the universal. Other than that I seem to break upper front arms more than anything. After my supply runs out I'll try mugen arms like everyone else.

Built my truggy per manual with updated diffs. I'm getting a crunching sound under hard acceleration only. The pinion lash in the diffs feels tight. It is only under hard acceleration and not while braking. Any ideas? There are no washers between the diff case and the pin that holds the axle under the sun gears but that is what the book showed. They seem to have a lot of slop.

Check your front gear box to see if it's cracked, if so then there's no support to hold the diff in place and it will "float" forward and lose mesh under hard acceleration:

Not saying it's a design flaw, but there is almost no reinforcement on the gear box and the front bumper is lined up perfectly to snap the gear box on any hard nose dive from a botched landing:

I haven't tested a TBR bumper yet but I think it's an improved design that will more than likely provide better support over the stock bumper:

No but it's $215 in upgrades to the T3e. Diffs, stronger arms, the chassis is drilled for weights and CVA's are the only changes. I spoke to Associated today.

Plastic spur. They hold up fine unless you get a rock in the wrong place.

I recently picked up another center diff and was surprised they removed that washer. I figured if anything that washer helped protect the o-ring and create a better seal. If your hearing a crunching sound check your diff and pinion, you may have some wear. Theres some great videos on youtube on how to shim a diff.

Anyone having problems with bending shock shafts? Just wondering if its a material issue with Associated, I'm seeing allot of it this season.

I've been bending them a ton so I'm going to try the chrome shafts to see if they're any better.
