The only option is to get a 8ight 4.0 body one without engine cut out and start over with a new paint job.

Beware of this suggestion if you have already bought the conversion kit to turn the 4.0 nitro into electric: The hole spacing for the rear center diff bulkhead/motor mount for the 4.0E is different from the 4.0 nitro. You'd have to buy the 3.0/4.0 electric motor mount to work with the 4.0E chassis.

The least expensive was is to get a uncut body that fits the nitro chassis.

On the front spindles... key question;

Do you fully set the set screw to the carrier pin?

Thank you.
I had upgraded to aluminum and the first set I got from Horizon it seized up just before setting, allowing the pin to fall out on a run. I got a replacement from horizon and the next set worked a lot better.

I was able to drill out the set screw on the bad one and extract it thou and now I can set the screw. The thread didn’t seem damaged but possibly not fully bottomed or a tapered Tap was used. I got real close to drilling and taping to 6-32 screw.

The TLR242007 motor mount appears to fit the 3.0e and 4.0e.

There is a this LOSA0912

However the 4.0e mounting block is the TLR version with angle plates, thou it seems the mount bolt spacing is the same. I didn’t have a 2.0 to be 100%

I can’t seem to find a parts break down of the conversion kit LOSA0912, however it seems to be the only option.

I'm running E-Buggy light, so it's 2s and SCT 1/10 motor. Tons of fun, but my motor comes off at around 170 degrees. It just seems hot to me. I'm not having any fading issues but I assume if I keep the motor cooler it will last longer.

I’d say 170 is fine, 180+ for too long is bad.
fan up or go up a spur tooth.

And yes a cooler motor lasts longer.
