I've been assembling my buggy this week and overall I'm happy as usual, but I've noticed suspension parts are fitting tighter on this one. Not a big deal, I don't really mind having to free up the parts a little. One area I'd like to see them improve one is the way the caster block mounts to the a-arm. I'd prefer to see a one piece hinge pin instead of the two pivots screws. I have to back the screws off just a hair to make sure the caster block pivots freely. Seems like the two pivot pins aren't exactly in line and when tightened all the way bind up some. Anybody else have this problem when assembling theirs? If a running change was made I'd definitely buy the parts.

After doing a little measuring comparing the TLR wheels and my Avid B5M offset rears, it looks like there's about 0.65mm difference per side. So I am thinking the aluminum +0.75mm hexes will work perfectly for me. The fronts are WAY WAY off, so I don't mind having to buy fronts for it. I am going to run the buggy tomorrow on the box stock set-up and we'll see how well it runs! If it drives anything like the build I will be very happy!
For now I added 0.6mm of shims per side behind the hexes and it seems to be nice and smooth without any binding.

You trim the plastic from the wheel

You mount the face side of the wheel normal and glue the inside bead to the inside bead lip of the wheel. I would cut the outter bead off first making it easier to glue and not cut the sidewall of the tire. I personally trim the crappy molding off the inside of the tire bead front or back if it is that bad and unbalances the tires. Schumachers beads tend to be sloppy on the inside edge but people are still fast just gluing and running them.

Congrats Frank on the win at OCRC last night with the new laydown trans conversion and Jackie Boy Thayer with the second place finish with his laydown conversion.
Good battle for a while with Kody Numendahl and his AE laydown thingy for 3rd.
Heavy hitters in the stock class too with the Stock Nats coming up next week.
TLR stuff lookin good on the medium to high bite clay
