I'm back in need of some ball diff advice....
I disassembled my new ball diff and re lubed It with AE ball diff lube and black grease on the thrust bearing, reassembled it and tightened it just enough so I couldn't turn the gear easily while holding both outdrives. I then put it in the car, set the radio EPA to 20% and gave it throttle while holding each tire for a couple seconds (about 10-15Times per side). Then I tightened the diff about a quarter turn and did throttle on each side abonther 10-15 times. My question is should this diff be as smooth as a gear diff? It's not gritty but I pulled the diff back out and when I turn the outdrives I can hear the diff turning on the balls. Is that normal? Will it get smoother as I run it more? And will I need to tighten it more as I run it and how will I know when? Thanks

Xb2 carpet 17 slipper eliminator
Hi gang, new to Rc tech and proud new owner of xray carpet 17. I'm running stock 17.5 with the 69 tooth slipper eliminator and would like a good starting point for pinion size? Track is medium length ozite carpet offroad. Any help or tips much appreciated

today's 17.5s and 13.5s are more powerful than from that period, not sure either if a slipper eliminator would be a good thing to do a 13.5
