Stiffer chassis prolly a good call for higher grip. Post your driving thoughts/ race results when you are able.
Nice car!!
It was strong out of the box for me. So strong in fact that my xb2 started collecting dust and got sold shortly thereafter.

Nice car!!
Thanks man! Appreciate it! I actually got the car off ebay that the original owner had built but not run, for $130 with some extras and a clear pro-line body also. As suspected, the builder didn't do a great job so I tore it all down and built it up how I like!

That's why I almost never buy used cars, 90% of the time I find something wrong with the build.

Figured it was worth the savings! I'd rather build it but fixing someone else's mistakes doesn't take any longer. While watching more YouTube videos last night I saw that Gabe qualified for the 1997 Ifmar worlds 2wd A final. I'll take his word for it that the b5m diff fits with shimming.

kinds makes sense now that I think of it. Considering the B5 idlers are supposed to work with some mods to the ID to fit the 216 bearings. OD and tooth count must be the same.. ? I bought a couple b5 idlers when I got my kit to throw in the pit box, i haven't yet needed them. Cheap at $6 for 2.

It will probably be a few months if I do try it. I don't even have the car fully built yet and I'd like to see how the gear diff works. I'm sure I'll try one eventually. If anybody reading this has a gently used b5m diff for sale, let me know.

Strange. Isn't he signed to hb? Doubt they would allow this.

I’d say the “writing is on the wall” for the D216.... no update just discontinued

They just released an aluminum chassis the other day. Odd to discontinue after just adding a new part.

D413 has had an easy 4 year run and was ahead of its time. No update on that car either.

Ronnefalk is still listed as HB driver at EOS, is it really a B6 or the new model in disguise ?

Strange, because in one of his videos about the 1/10 Swedish championship he was clearly still running the D216 with a prototype laydown transmission.

Wonder what they are going to do at the worlds...

Laydown and ball diff is all this car needs. There are plenty of tunning options elsewhere in the chassis. Would be nice if they released these two items. Hb doesn't communicate with the end users whatsoever.
