I just got the kit and noticed it came with a gear diff and not a ball diff. I assume the ball diff option will be best for my track but since I don't have one what diff oil weight should I use?
i run on an outdoor 1/10 track that is hard packed and usually watered. im running down to the track tonight to test the buggy out. for the time being, i used 60k oil in the diff. I run my 22 3.0 with a tight diff as well.

ran mine for the first time tonight, on a damp smooth dirt track. only change I made from the kit setup was putting kyosho gold springs on front and white on the rear. few people drove it and loved it. it is a good car

So I ran a full battery through the car last night on a loose dusty track. The buggy felt really good, little losse on certain parts of the track but still felt good. I realized when I got home that I installed the battery straps incorrectly not allowing me to move the battery back. Another change I made was remove the 60k oil in the diff and add 100k. I'm planning on another trip today to see how the buggy performs with thicker diff oil.

hey guys. so i was looking at chi town shootout setup. Ty mentions that he uses the battery sideways with 4 dot setup. All i see on the battery strap are 1 and 2. Is this an option part?

That seems like a lot, I know Ty was running them at the last race.
