Welcome to the SCT410.3 Wiki!

7.26.17 - BB
In order to run the recommended team setup, you need the following optional parts:
TKR6106 Orange LF Springs
TKR6114 Green LF Springs
TKR6018 composite shock caps (built to emulsion) OR TKR8702 Aluminum Emulsion Shock caps
TKR8027 Shock Stand Offs
TKR6051 8x1.3 pistons(drilled to 1.4mm)
TKR8104 .4 bellcranks
TKR8100 .4 ackerman
TKR5545B HRC Hubs
You also need the Aluminum C Block (others can stay composite)

What option parts should I consider buying with a new kit?
None are required but we recommend the following:

TKR5161 – V2 Adjustable Hinge Pin Brace “A” block, 7075 CNC, EB/NB/ET/NT/SCT) - Helps to improve durability on hard crashes.

TKR5163 – V2 Adjustable Hinge Pin Brace “C” block, 7075 CNC, EB/NB/ET/NT/SCT) - Helps to improve durability on hard crashes.

TKR5545B – HRC Rear Hubs (L/R, CV or uni, SCT.3/SL) - Improves stability of the rear on mid to corner exit. Allows harder acceleration on corner exit.

TKR6146 - CNC Delrin Shock Cartridge Set

TiNi Shock Shafts
-TKR6004T (front)
-TKR6017T (rear)

What spare parts should I keep on hand?
TKR5020 – Hinge Pins (inner, front/rear)
TKR5516 – Front Suspension Arms and TKR5515 – Rear Suspension Arms
TKR5542 – Spindle Carriers - TKR5541B Spindles
TKR6009 – Shock O-Ring and Bladder Set (for 2 shocks)

Tips and Tricks

List of Vehicle Setup Adjustments and Build Tips can be found here. There are several videos and articles detailing the building of shocks, diffs, camber links, etc.

Use steering stops/limiter washers... more info here.

Setup Sheets:
Setup sheets for all Tekno RC vehicles can be found here. Please be sure to try our recommended setup. It works very well on most tracks.

Hinge Pin Insert Chart:

Warranty Policy:
Tekno RC is the only company in the industry that will give 50% off of parts if returned to them using the General Warranty return policy found on their website. The parts can be lightly used or completely abused, as long as the part is still being produced it's covered!

Piston Drills:
Some of our setups recommend using pistons that are enlarged. For instance 4x1.9 or 3x2.0. To drill the pistons we recommend the following:
GMK Supply Piston Drill Set
16PC Metric Bit Set Metric Sizes 2.00 to 3.00 MM.

Spur and diffs are the same as found in the EB 1/8 buggy. There is no adverse effects to running the truck on 4s. Many have done so in the past running the Pro4 1850 motor. Makes for a really efficient setup.

Truck looks pretty standard. Not in too rough of a condition. The rear most screws are starting to wear it looks like, so if you were racing it probably replace the chassis after the season. Thatd be my only issue I see. But if youre bashing, no real big deal.

So what are yall running ride height wise as I went to set mine to 25-24 and I could only get the front down to 25.5 or 26... Both front and rears are on the inside on the towers and outside on the arms....

Your springs will need to break in a bit, and then they will settle. That will give you the ride height you want. Until then, just run as low as you can get it.

Ok I called castle and talked to them and they stated that a vehicle like the tekno is what the sidewinder sct is made for....they told me 6.5 and the tekno weighs 6.2 with rx8 and sct motor....... And it is much less with normal electronics...... And as for the motor the man I talked to said it was basically a 550 rotor stuffed in to a 540 can as roar did not like the power the 550 made and so to get around it they stuffed it in a 540 can which there where no rules for in 4wd sct as it was considered too weak to drive a 4x4..... I'm giving it a shot tomorrow and we shall see..... Hopefully it works as claimed lol
I got the sct pro 3800 kv so what did he say that would be a good combo the 3800 with sidewinder

I put the carbon fiber vinyl on mine and on the bottom of truck does that count?

Default Servo Saver Setup

I installed the servo saver as the manual says (nut three full turns open). In my opinion this setup is rather soft. How is your experience/setup? Can i close the saver completely or will this lead to a damage of the steering? I'm not really worried about the servo, as it is quite strong (Team Orion VDS2-HV2607).

Ok I can confirm that the sidewinder sct is plenty powerful and will not overheat..... I ran in thick clay after some rain and it still didn't overheat...... It's also plenty smooth....... And I have a buddy running a 410 with tekin and I actually was a hair faster......

Yeah. There has been some posts about that and about using the cf ones or if there is enough interest, M2C would probably make some 7075 alum ones.
