Welcome to the SCT410.3 Wiki!

7.26.17 - BB
In order to run the recommended team setup, you need the following optional parts:
TKR6106 Orange LF Springs
TKR6114 Green LF Springs
TKR6018 composite shock caps (built to emulsion) OR TKR8702 Aluminum Emulsion Shock caps
TKR8027 Shock Stand Offs
TKR6051 8x1.3 pistons(drilled to 1.4mm)
TKR8104 .4 bellcranks
TKR8100 .4 ackerman
TKR5545B HRC Hubs
You also need the Aluminum C Block (others can stay composite)

What option parts should I consider buying with a new kit?
None are required but we recommend the following:

TKR5161 – V2 Adjustable Hinge Pin Brace “A” block, 7075 CNC, EB/NB/ET/NT/SCT) - Helps to improve durability on hard crashes.

TKR5163 – V2 Adjustable Hinge Pin Brace “C” block, 7075 CNC, EB/NB/ET/NT/SCT) - Helps to improve durability on hard crashes.

TKR5545B – HRC Rear Hubs (L/R, CV or uni, SCT.3/SL) - Improves stability of the rear on mid to corner exit. Allows harder acceleration on corner exit.

TKR6146 - CNC Delrin Shock Cartridge Set

TiNi Shock Shafts
-TKR6004T (front)
-TKR6017T (rear)

What spare parts should I keep on hand?
TKR5020 – Hinge Pins (inner, front/rear)
TKR5516 – Front Suspension Arms and TKR5515 – Rear Suspension Arms
TKR5542 – Spindle Carriers - TKR5541B Spindles
TKR6009 – Shock O-Ring and Bladder Set (for 2 shocks)

Tips and Tricks

List of Vehicle Setup Adjustments and Build Tips can be found here. There are several videos and articles detailing the building of shocks, diffs, camber links, etc.

Use steering stops/limiter washers... more info here.

Setup Sheets:
Setup sheets for all Tekno RC vehicles can be found here. Please be sure to try our recommended setup. It works very well on most tracks.

Hinge Pin Insert Chart:

Warranty Policy:
Tekno RC is the only company in the industry that will give 50% off of parts if returned to them using the General Warranty return policy found on their website. The parts can be lightly used or completely abused, as long as the part is still being produced it's covered!

Piston Drills:
Some of our setups recommend using pistons that are enlarged. For instance 4x1.9 or 3x2.0. To drill the pistons we recommend the following:
GMK Supply Piston Drill Set
16PC Metric Bit Set Metric Sizes 2.00 to 3.00 MM.

That's what I did yesterday . Free shipping as a Super Saver member too. Hard to beat Tower for buying kits and expensive items

Long time 1/10 racer and first 4wd SCT truck. After much searching I have on backorder one of these beautiful Tekno .3's. So naturally, I have some questions.
1. 1258 Savox, strong enough? Or not even close?
2. Hobbywing Xerun 4000kv or 4700kv?
3. Best place to find database of setup sheets?
Thanks guys!

At 166 oz/in that matches the stats of the Spektrum that is in my wife's truck, and has been there since the truck came out, and in an SCTE before that. That being said, I typically like to recommend 250 oz/in + for 4wd SC to be overkill and safe. Run the servo saver in a "normal" position instead of pretty much locked down and you should be ok, at least until you pick up another servo.

If you're typically on small tight tracks, get the 4000. If you're typically on larger tracks or huge jump tracks, get the 4700. Both can do both applications just fine, but they're better at the types I mentioned. You'll probably turn the punch down on both of them to reduce wheel spin anyway.

There are often setup sheets on Tekno's website, but for the SC I think PetitRC is probably the current go to spot. I don't know that anybody has put out setup sheets for the .3 yet though, as it has new geometry that we're all just getting or testing stock first before playing with it.

really enjoyed the 4000Kv HW out here for large and small tracks. I have heard of guys playing with timing boost on it if they needed more top end but I never had to do that. ran nice and cool.

I'm running the 1256. I think it's plenty fast, has all the torque you need and is only $10 more than the 58. But I just got done with my build (HW SCT-PRO and 4000KV also) and will race for the first time this weekend. The HW 4000kv was recommended to me by a sponsored Tekno driver. He loves it.

I like the hitec 7955TG servo on 7.4V very fast and powerful, voltage is a-ok from what hitec has told me a few times.

I run the radiopost RP5005S, fast and powerful. There might be comparable servo's out there at a lower price, but this thing shines. had it in my truck last year, and it's now moved to my buggy due to fitment issues with the servo I had for it.

I've been running the ProTek 130T and 150T servos in SCT and eBuggy, and recently trying the brushless Savox 2274. The Savox is by far the noisiest, but so far has been working fine. I've run RadioPost before as well and it was good, except that I got a bad one and it smoked itself after a run. I've also run several cheap brands (Turnigy, TrackStar, TowerPro, etc), which worked fine for a while, but didn't hold up and quickly developed slop. They're cheap though, so make a great backup servo to have in your box, just in case.

We had a few people want us to let them know when the 410.3 were back in stock. So here I am, they are in stock. Feel free to delete if this post is inappropriate, but it's topical to the thread. I apologize for the spammy nature of it.

Thanks for the heads up. I just ordered one from you and canceled my tower-hobbies order. Now I don't have to wonder if I'll be included in the next batch.

Hello boys, I have a first version of SCT410 and reviewing the new manual of SCT410.3 I have observed that the o-rings shock shaft not appear. In the manual of SCT410 first version they appear. My question is whether I should withdraw my orings if I will notice some change for the better.

Thank you!

If you have the revised shock bushings that stick slightly past the end cap, you wont need the extra Orings. The new truck has a revised shock boot style that takes place of the Orings as well, that's why they are omitted from the newer manual.
