7.26.17 - BB In order to run the recommended team setup, you need the following optional parts: TKR6106 Orange LF Springs TKR6114 Green LF Springs TKR6018 composite shock caps (built to emulsion) OR TKR8702 Aluminum Emulsion Shock caps TKR8027 Shock Stand Offs TKR6051 8x1.3 pistons(drilled to 1.4mm) TKR8104 .4 bellcranks TKR8100 .4 ackerman TKR5545B HRC Hubs You also need the Aluminum C Block (others can stay composite) What option parts should I consider buying with a new kit? None are required but we recommend the following: TKR5161 – V2 Adjustable Hinge Pin Brace “A” block, 7075 CNC, EB/NB/ET/NT/SCT) - Helps to improve durability on hard crashes. TKR5163 – V2 Adjustable Hinge Pin Brace “C” block, 7075 CNC, EB/NB/ET/NT/SCT) - Helps to improve durability on hard crashes. TKR5545B – HRC Rear Hubs (L/R, CV or uni, SCT.3/SL) - Improves stability of the rear on mid to corner exit. Allows harder acceleration on corner exit. TKR6146 - CNC Delrin Shock Cartridge Set TiNi Shock Shafts -TKR6004T (front) -TKR6017T (rear) What spare parts should I keep on hand? Hinge Pin Insert Chart:  Warranty Policy: Tekno RC is the only company in the industry that will give 50% off of parts if returned to them using the General Warranty return policy found on their website. The parts can be lightly used or completely abused, as long as the part is still being produced it's covered! Piston Drills: Some of our setups recommend using pistons that are enlarged. For instance 4x1.9 or 3x2.0. To drill the pistons we recommend the following: GMK Supply Piston Drill Set 16PC Metric Bit Set Metric Sizes 2.00 to 3.00 MM.

City Block 2s are the tallest tire I've ever seen. They are 1/2" taller than my Proline Square Fuzzies.

I only run the front brace.
My diffs are 5/7/2 still from outdoors but ill be changing that soon, although they perform fine. Probably going to try 7/7/5 for indoors.
Wheelbase is 2mm F/3mm R
Oh, and I am running the 6x1.5 pistons too, forgot to mention that.
Another set up I intent to try soon is 40/40 Losi oil (37.5 AE) with Green/Green springs.

what does removing a brace do, i know it probably causes the chassis to flex easier in certain areas but how does that affect the trucks performace?

It will lock in that end of the vehicle. For example, if you remove the rear brace, the rear of the truck will flex and generate more overall traction. If you get into high grip situations, it can make the truck feel a bit numb or sluggish. Also, if you remove the braces, you have a better chance of tweeking the chassis in a nasty crash. My suggestion: avoid nasty crashes.

I know what a low ride height does for performance, but wouldn't it be somewhat counter productive in design to have an up-swept arm angle to get the lower ride height by lowering spring heights?
At what cost does it effect other things?
It just doesn't make since to me considering geometry angles. Seems like the smarter alternative would be to mill out some drop spindle hub blocks if lowering ride height, rather than reducing travel heights with make shift setups to accommodate taller tires. Sounds like a part that needs to be considered for aftermarket deployment.

Plopping down a chunk to get a 410.3 in the next few weeks. Waiting for the holiday sale season to get this done. Hopefully tower gets some decent coupons going. Going 2s 4300 kv pro4 HD for the power plant and the Tekin g2 esc combo. Picked up a spektrum dx4c rx combo and got a Hitec mg5645 high torque servo free. Not what I wanted but it filled a need for now. Somewhat budget minded , I want to keep it around a G. Max amps are my only choice on batteries, seen a lot of guys have almost hour long runs with these. Any thing I am missing? Running on blue grooved indoor and just plain old packed dirt on the outdoors.
