This is what you need to build a full U4199:
U3852
U3853
U3854
U3855
U4196
2.5mm diff balls (carbide or ceramic) I personally prefer carbide at U2459
U3140
U1954 (Optional)
It is a K1 diff after all, so look at this:

U3852
U3853
U3854

looks like you need a U4124 - SPEED PACK - Shims 5 x 7 x 0.4mm - pk6
U3855 isn't available either, but they are just 5x10x3 bearings.

I have a KF that I am interested in upgrading to the KF2. I was going to get the LG chassis for the KF but I really like some of the features of the KF2. I already have the shorty conversion kit.
My thinking is that if I buy the new KF2 Carbon Fiber Chassis, new Side pods with the new chassis brace, new center parts for slipper, motor mount, side gears etc... then it should be the same as a KF2.
Can anyone confirm of deny my assumptions? Just wonder if it is doable or not or if there are some more significant changes I would have to make.

anyone planning on running the KF2 at motorama? i shook down my KR cars yesterday and will try to run this new KF2 prior to the event. any starting setup advice would be helpful.
in particular, i think i need to get my hands on a ball diff prior to the event. KF setups from Tom C and Carson W both listed ball diffs. anyone know where i can get a U4199 diff?

So I pulled the trigger on this guy and was just wondering what should be upgraded out of the box if anything?
Also, on the front of the car, what is the difference between the 0 degree and 5 degree caster blocks? What is the 5 degrees going to do to the car over the 0?
Also, what is a good set of spares to keep? What breaks the easiest?
Thanks in advance!!

Did anybody feel a need to shim the rear arms?
There seems to be quite abit of play there after a few runs.

No, I have the small amount of front to rear play also. Not bothering me at all. The play may not be there when you first build the kit if you don't seat the pivot balls all the way into the aluminum holders. You can shim it, if it is bothering you.

Couple of questions.
1) What diff fluid should I use? I have some 2K I used in my B5M. Is the ball diff better than the gear diff on carpet? (RCplus guys?)
2) Maybe a stupid question, but do you locktite the screws that go into alloy?
3) I picked up the CF chassis and was wondering what chassis protector you guys are using.
4) Shock oils? (Again RCplus guys) 37.5 in the front and 32.5 in the rear?
5) Are the springs that come with it good to use or should I get a different set?
I have been out of the hobby for awhile, built a B5M, and now I am hooked again!
Thanks!!
