I disagree. I still think the car is somewhat fragile. Parts are cheap, but if you have to replace twice as many, what's the difference?

Don't get me wrong, I like the car, but I just don't think it's durable enough.

The only weak spot I found on mine was the shocktower mounts. But as ive said before I was banzai'ng some big jumps and something had to give. But I guess its going to depend on alot of factors.

I've said it many times before...4wd cars are capable of reaching speeds and sustaining impacts that no 10th scale car can be counted on to withstand.

That doesn't stop us or anything, but I don't think there's a stronger car out there. You can break any of them...LOL...the tower braces do help for sure, but the new stock ones are pretty good.

If you're breaking parts, the boiling trick works pretty good. Boil a pot of water, turn it off, drop in the parts and let them cool. It makes them a little more flexible.

No I didn't. I have been super busy. Here are the hightlights though.

Start with the kit setup.

move rear hubs foward.
Move bottom front shocks out on the arm
move bottom of rear shocks out on the arm
Blue rear springs.
Center shaft one way.

That is it.

The kit setup on this car is pretty awesome.

It's prolly the atomic carbon one.

I forgot about them, Jason - you nailed it. Sexy looking piece, but really pricey. The stock one just got better looking

I had atomic towers, they were nice but broke pretty easy on the lazer and the rb5. Wasted my money.

I use the xtreme top deck.

xtreme have upgraded their shock towers for the ZX-5. They are 4mm thick and kept the same design as the thinner ones . This takes 4wd 10th scale buggy racing to a whole new level in durability.

3mm, 4mm i broke both thicknesses. If you wanna risk yo money be my guest, I'll tell you now carbon or plastic its not a matter of if you will break them its a matter of when you will break them. Rears tend to go first. Also the xtreme carbon is like layered stuff the atomic is real carbon fiber. both look good though.
