Don't know if you guys have seen this yet, but Mibo is offering YZ-2 arms and driveshafts as option parts to the stock arms to narrow the rear of the car to work better on clay tracks.

Good to know the mod works. Wondering if I should just take the rear end off my YZ-2 and swap them? No parts needed, since most guys I know run the longer Bmax4 arms on their YZ-2's to gain stability.

I always thought a wider car is more stable than a narrow car, does this change depending on the track surface.

Wider is always more stable, but also more lazy.

I think the reason would because on clay you need more side bite then on such a high grip surface like astro, or carpet, allowing the suspension to work faster, and more free would induce more side bite, which would in theory benefit clay tracks (especially ones not super grippy like LRH or SRS raceway).. I will try it when I finish getting my car finished. Had some parts missing that amain doesn't have yet, so I had to order them from Mibo. Will be here by Tuesday.

This is the first time hearing about the arm mod. So it's allowing the rear to rotate more?

Yes, but apparently it only affects the car significantly on dirt or clay surfaces.

I had to order mine from Mibo cause AMAIN has no clue as to when they will get them. Could be tomorrow, could be in a month. I'm just gonna switch out my YZ-2 rear end for the YZ-4 rear end. Kinda like doing the straight arm mod on the B5M series, switch out 3 parts and done.

IIRC the S4 arms are even longer than the B-Max4III arms. I've used the B-Max Arms on my YZ-2 and it helped against traction rolling when I pushed too hard on high-grip astro and carpet, and it became even better with 1 mm wheel shims in the rear and 0.5 mm in the front. I am not surprised to see all these arm options, Shin did the same to the Lazers and Ultimas when he used to be with Kyosho. It's a great way to adjust the cars to a wide variety of tracks!

From what I can see on Yokomo's website, rear drive shafts are the same for YZ2 and YZ4 anyways.

Talk to Michal at MIBO as he is a great dude. Purchase in Czech Korunos thus pay via PayPal sending funds in Czech Currency. Thus your shipping will be more like $22.
