Ca aluminum. It never seemed to struggle but, in really high grip like ocrc it can flex, every once in a while it would have a slight push in certain corners. You also have to buy the 3x7x3 bearings.. me and my son are at ocrc Wednesday race nights. I have a extra nip rack... in all honesty it's good without it... looks trick though

When using that rack. I need a 20mm aluminum horn correct? I tried to use a 20mm horn with the stock DTM rack, and it didn't clear.

I would leave the plastic on there unless you feel that you're getting a push. Then consider swapping it out.
It has a lot of flex, and I do notice a push, but that could just be my tires. I'd just feel better with aluminum in there. For anyone using a savox servo, what spacers are you using? I have the 2mm in there now, and it doesn't feel quite right. Also how are you guys mounting motor fans in this car?

On the plastic rack I had to shave the steering slider because of the offset ruddog 20mm horn I used... with the aluminum slider it clears it perfect

This fan is too small, but mount using clear servo tape so you can easily remove it

Speaking from experience, I would run the stock plastic horn with the alum rack unless you don't mind turning your servo itself into a wear item.

Why does rm use b6 ball cups? I remember hearing that the older ones were to brittle, but I've had zero issues with the gray dtm ones

I haven't ran stock in quite a while but that's where I mounted my fan as well. FWIW, setting the fan to blow out as an exhaust fan out the back of the body actually produced motor temps 5-10f lower than blowing back onto the motor like most people do. YMMV but that could be something to try.

He already threaded a set of turnbuckles with those and he's too lazy to change them?
I don't know because the dtm ones are really good.

I see a variety of different rear hub options for this car. Which do people tend to run for carpet? Stock? Aluminum 0 degree? Aluminum offset?

For raw conerspeed on extreme grip carpet, these carry the most corner speed. It's noticeable, they are what's on my carpet car.
For a little more rotation, the old alum zero degree ones provide that.
For the most grip, the stock one are the grabby-ist.

Considering when he runs truck or SC he runs AE stuff would mean he has an arrangement between himself, yokomo, and Mugen that he can run the B6 studs and cups, which are really the only thing AE got right on the B6.

How are people liking the optional hcg parts per the rear tranny? What kind of improvement are people seeing on lower bit dirt.
